Camera

I use my iPad or iPhone to take pictures when doing gas station audits. Does anyone recommend a good camera for doing these that can easily dump pictures to my IMac

Are you having quality issues with your photos? Most iPhones (4s or later) have pretty good cameras and iPhoto makes it pretty easy to transfer the pictures (not to mention cloud options like iCloud, Dropbox, or Google Photos.) If you want a camera with flash storage, you'll want to take into account the card reader that is on your computer (or purchase a USB card reader).
Most Windows laptops and many Macs have slots to take an SD card. So, my advice is to buy a camera with a removable SD card. Pay attention to megapixels (I'd recommend at least 6 megapixels) and an optical zoom of at least 8 preferably more (electronic zoom reduces resolution). In general, Best Buy has the largest selection of digital cameras. Go there, and find one that fits well in your hand. Find one that feels comfortable and one where your fingers do not want to cover up the lens or press on buttons. If you want to have it fit in a pocket, bring the "pocket" along with you. I suggest a camera that takes standard AA batteries that you can buy in bulk at Costco. I personally have a Canon PowerShot SX130 which has 12X optical zoom and 12.1 megapixel resolution. If you can find a camera that has image stabilization, that is preferable (most current cell phones have image stabilization). I am thinking about upgrading to the Canon PowerShot SX130IS (IS = image stabilization), but might look for one with an even more powerful optical zoom.
