Pawn Shop Hidden Video Shops $115

They have video pawn shops that pay $65 and then $50 for your purchase. The shop requires 2 visits. Would you do it for that price?

Would you do a video shop for $32.50?

Assuming you could keep the $50 item (and not return it), and pick any item you wanted to spend $50 on, I most likely would.

I have never done a video shop before. smiling smiley But like most split shops, it never seems worth it!
Shoppers' View is advertising pawn shop video shops for $65 plus a $50 Shop Expense Limit. That DOES NOT mean you can make a $50 purchase to keep. The guidelines state you pawn something and return later to pick it up. The pawn shop charges a hefty fee for loaning the money. Typically, a $100 pawn is charged $15 in fees. It could be more in some areas. The shop only pays $65 for two visits. Plus, I noticed that there is NO Shop Expense Limit posted for some shops. That means the video shopper would pay the fee out of the $65. That's a bad deal any way you look at it. Look closely before jumping on this job offer.
I had several of these when they were with another company. The second portion could be completed within 20 minutes. Two were P/R and two were pawn/reclaim. The fees for the pawn/reclaim were $62 cash I was floating until being reimbursed. I don't know if the fees would have been higher had the reclaim required a five day wait. At the time they had a minimum amount for the loan which may have been $100.

Wow, the pawn shop fees were really high where you live! I did 8-9 jobs when a different company had the contract. The guidelines were very clear, and the shopper fees were properly identified (so there was no confusion about getting to keep a $50 purchase). I hope the new company works out because I could do a few more.
It breaks down to $22 for a $110 loan and $40 for a $200 loan. So yes, a little higher than your location. As to reimbursement not being specified on some of the shops, my guess is those are the purchase returns since the shopper won't end up being out of pocket.

Wow - all sounds confusing. Anyway, I will picked up a couple on a route, so I will upday you on the current process after I complete them. These are not until March.
