When I was on a test drive last month, we hit a railroad crossing when a very long train was crossing! Traffic was backed way up, and after waiting about 15 minutes, I turned the car around and went back the way we'd come. But I hadn't really wanted to do a U-turn on a narrow road in a car that wasn't mine....
Better that than running out of gas, though!
