Market force audit vs retail?

There are some audits and retail shops listed for the same client. I am wondering what the difference is because from the initial description, it sounds like they would be the same. The shop fee is lower for the retail shop, but in the description it says it is revealed. I have done several of the audits now, but if it is the same thing, I wouldn't do it for the lower fee of the retail shop. Just curious.

If you are talking about the new cell phone assignments, the retail shops require a purchase.

Not scheduling for ANY company.
If you are asking about the lower ..very much lower...paying retail shops, the screener asks if you've done an audit there because they don't want a shopper in there who has revealed themselves during an audit before 6 months or so. Don't know which you are referring to, but hope that helps.

I haven't done the audit for MF, but I've done the simple Mystery Shop. It was a straightforward MS with no reveal. Just go in, wait for someone to approach you, ask a few questions about a new phone, see what they recommend, do they try to close the sale? Get a business card, etc. I believe the one I did had a requirement for a photo outside the store if a certain poster or advertisement was present.

It wasn't a bad shop, I would consider doing it again at a bonus. I was in the market for a new phone, so I figured it would be double duty: I did one at the base rate and then two more in the $20-25 range. The bonuses in my area came up for somewhat last minute shops, so it helped that I'd done one before and was familiar with the scenario when the bonuses appeared.

There is not purchase for the two shops you are referring too, only for the higher paying one.

As noted, the reveal is the audit, the other lower paying one is a traditional mystery shop asking for information. The audit states it can take up too two hours! Do the math, then you will understand why they sit there unclaimed.

It's not a phone shop. In the description of the Retail shop it says it is a merchandising audit and that you do identify yourself. That is why I am so confused, because the description for the Audit vs the Retail shops for the client read almost exactly the same, but the pay is quite different. That's why I hoping that someone who had done both could maybe help me understand the difference. I should have named the client instead of the MSC. Oh well.
I am seeing 3 of these shops. Two of them require a purchase and seem to be the same shop although there is quite a difference in the pay. I do not understand but I am not switching providers so they are of no interest to me. The last is for an audit reveal where you make an appointment. There is a test you take before doing the shops for the audit. I cannot seem to pass one of the questions on the test. You get 99 chances and I choose every answer for this particular question and it still kept kicking back to me. I finally gave up since the test was so easy and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.

If the questions have round radio buttons, it is a single best answer. If they are square boxes, mark all that apply. The instructions do not indicate this, but if you try it, you may have the results you're looking for.
thinking about applying for a few of the audits... can someone school me on them? about how long do they take? what's the difficulty level? do you need to be knowledgeable about the technology, or is it mostly just taking simple photos?
I have 2 scheduled for April and have not reviewed the survey yet. I will let you know when I finish one. I just wish we could assign more than 2. For me the first shop is usually the slowest and by the fourth or fifth shop I am on a roll and know exactly what they are looking for and feel much more confident. I really do not understand the limit on audits. We are not on a mystery shop so what is the big deal if we do 2 or 20.
It seems Market Force limits every shop to 2 per month.
As teriraia said, with Merchandising or Audits, the more you do the faster you go.
Generally loosing $$ on the first one or two.
I'm not so excited anymore.
I thought it was kind of funny that they limit to only 2 audits. However, it let me accept the location that I will now have done the last 5 quarterly audits (so yes for more than a year, I have been the only auditor).

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
I've been wondering if these are the same audits done previously by another company. I loved those audits but I haven't seen them done in awhile. They only took 20-30 minutes though, if that long.
I self assigned 3 audits. 2 down and scheduled to do the 3rd tomorrow. Not to bad, VERY detailed instructions of what you need to look for. The first two took me just over an hour each but some of that time is waiting while the store manager is busy with customers.
So you can schedule more than 2.

There are some that are a 30 minute drive from me that I can 'see' even though I've already scheduled 2. That must be the number of miles away, or the name of a different City that are the requirements to pick up more than 2?!
There's an audit about 10 minutes from me that's up to $26. But I'm still not sure I can do it in a time frame to make it worthwhile. It seems like it could take a lot of time, especially since I haven't done one before.
