Coyle's "Easy, One night hotel stay, limited narrative........"

Has anyone completed these yet? Just curious how these jobs are easy when they are exactly like their "full Two night hotel stays" minus the food and beverage reports, turndown and extra day to get everything done. And, oh yes, no assistance with travel fee. I would be curious to know if anyone felt about these jobs. Thank you.

Your are incorrect; most do include turndown.

I would say that they are "easier", rather than easy. You also do get assistance with travel. It's just included in the fee, so it takes the guesswork and bidding out of the equation.

I would add that without the food write-ups, I had more time to finish the report while on property than I normally have with a 2 night stay, and as strange as this is for me to say, I liked having the option to NOT be at a bar during the stay because I was nursing a cold and didn't want it to get worse. I'm looking forward to the next round....
Also, . . . "For remote locations, if you require additional travel, please list your travel requirements to complete this assignment."
Steve - Did you complete a few on this round? Were you able to keep your points?

Thanks in advance.

I'm still waiting on the credit reversal, so it's possible the points could be reversed as well, but nothing I've ever done for that particular brand has ever had the points reversed with a credit reversal.

There was a promotion for points in April and that was also posted to my account, so I'm hoping they stay...

Thank you for your response. You were probably paid more then most of us, as
the fee was just slightly higher then a normal hotel job. Hope you are feeling better!
So the reversal came through and I still have the points...plus the bonus.

As far as the fee goes; these assignments would never pay as much as a standard 2-night hotel if they didn't include travel, but if you want to use the full fee for travel, you can take a second one for the extra night, plus a bar, restaurant and breakfast shop in the area and you will be making twice what a "normal" hotel job pays for just about the same amount of work.

It's definitely less less than half the work as other hotels, even though it's not particularly easy. I have one of these hotels a few blocks from me and that would be a nice paycheck for the assignment if I took it just for the fee.

That said, I see people on this forum justifying ACL's hotel shops that don't pay any fee, don't offer any travel and in my experience are not nearly as nice as these properties we are discussing, nor do they earn anywhere near the level of points that you can get from one of these stays. If you have status with the hotel brand, you get a free breakfast, room upgrades and such, and if you don't, these shops will help get you to that status!
