Now Sybil. This is not the first time we have had a member speaking a foreign language. I highly doubt it was an attempt to skirt the forum rules. Why don't you consider he/she has been using a translation program to read the forum and simply didn't realize the post was in French.

I thought Sybil's response was humorous. Sarcasm is a lost art. Anyway, there are no rules to be broken on this thread because McDonald's isn't shopped anymore.

The attack on the user for allegedly purposely using another language to violate the rule was not sarcasm..it is part of the pattern of abusive nonsense from a specific user.....

and yes McD is still shopped, not to the same extent as with the major company that no longer does it...the scenarios are different and are at a limited number of locations...

i'm absolutely done with this.

the op navigated to the wrong site and now people are piling on like a foursome gone bad.

the op was referring to mcdonald (legendary farmer who was old) and the op is is in the market to buy some property.

i suggest that "some people" get the translation of the op's query correct, ie: "how can i find mcdonald who has a farm for sale".

no offense meant, as usual

jmitw, thank you for politely correcting my error in saying that McD is no longer shopped. I wasn't aware that another company was doing it. My correction to @lundi follows.

I'm still kind of the new kid on this forum and don't know others' personalities, but I'm going to reiterate that Sybil's response was intentionally humorous using sarcastic wit. However, there is no mistaking the meaning of messages in all caps.

hey chris,

people who take a lot of these comments toooo seriously and/or have their feelings too easily bruised don't do well. there is good/useful info to be had here but without a sense-of-humor that borders on the juvenile, sarcastic and/or snarky (or more-than-likely all three and...hand raised here) i strongly suggest another site.

and...i'd say that your speaking for sybil2 might be somewhat presumptuous. believe me when i say that sybil2 is more-than-capable to speak for herself.

The sarcasm wasn't lost on me. However, I didn't know if would be lost on the OP. At that point it was only his feelings being considered. I never worry about Sybil or Brian's feelings and know it's mutualcool smiley
