Having your casino winnings deducted from fees...(CHC)

I looked into doing a casino shop for CHC in 3 weeks. I've never worked for them before. They state that all winnings from slots/tables will be deducted. I left a message for CHC. Does this mean that if they reimburse $30 and pay $10 for the report and I win $50 I do not get any money? Or do I at least get the $10 for the report?

Their instructions state "No wins may be kept. All wins will be deducted from your fee." I'm doing roughly 10 interactions at this casino. They wouldn't deduct the winnings from ALL the fees (bar, restaurant), would they?

Sounds to me as if whatever you win would be deducted from everything. I wonder what they do if the fees only total $100 and the shopper wins $150. Maybe you have to pay them? A long time ago there was a thread about the same concept with a different MSC. More than one shopper suggested if they won a decent jackpot they would just reschedule the shop since nobody can deduct anything if you won the money on a different day.

They pay a flat fee of $60 for 13 interactions. That stinks that they deduct the winnings. i don't like that!
Talking round numbers here: If you have a shop fee of $50, required purchases of $50, and allowance for gaming losses of $50, then your max pay would be $150. If you win $50 total, then your net pay would be $100. If you win $10 at one slot machine, and lose $10 at another, then you have no gaming loss expenses. I put all my line items on a spreadsheet, and the MSC never has a problem with the way my numbers turn out. Last month, I did a shop for them, and wound up walking out with $5.47 more than I came in with after all requirements met. As such, My shop fee will be $5.47 less than it was supposed to be, so in a sense, A small portion of my shop fee was paid while on site.

A very large win gets a little complicated, but the schedulers will walk you through it. Don't forget that most people that go to a Casino do lose, and the goal while you are in there is to report on what transpires, not to try and win a jackpot.
I hope this helps.

$60 for 13 interactions stinks. I thought the company with 8 for $82 was bad enough.

Sounds sucky. At least two other companies that do casinos let you keep winnings up to a particular amount and reimburse you for losses. I don't think I would do this one; sounds like a cheapskate company.

Sounds like a crummy shop, at that point. Hopefully they're covering multiple meals and a room!

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
That would be a big hell no.

Have you read the assignments for another MSC who requires shoppers to return all winnings over $500? If you won big on a slot machine ($100,000 payoff) what would you do?

I'd take a flake citation on the shop and keep the money.
I would, but I'd get real picky.

Why not?

Everyone I know that has some extra scratch never walks into a store without coupons & taking advantage of a really great sale.

I decided not to take the job. I've only done two casinos in the past, for a different msc, and we were allowed to keep the winnings (not that I actually win much, but still...). It averages out to less than $5 a job. No hotel either, just slots and various bars.
It's a very easy report. You ask each person two questions and write three sentence on your interaction. The hardest part sometimes is finding all the necessary employees.

I second that. Returning $100,000 is not going to happen. After Uncle Sam got his cut, I'd still walk away with good money. Return it to the casino? Really? If I lose $500 gambling, then what? Who's is going to reimburse me on this mystery shop?
I'm shocked...I thought you did this for fun!

Exactly correct. Nice of you to spend the time to write it all out so clearly.

Rescheduling for another day would be the best unless of course you won enough to retire from mystery shopping.

I do shops for them regularly, I only spend the minimum, like $1 on slots and $5 blackjack if that is the minimum. Not one of my favorites. I send emails telling them what day, then I get an email 2 weeks later asking me what day am I going.
It seems like it is an easy report, you do exactly what they tell you, you answer every question and every time they say I did not write enough and I ask them for suggestions and they never ever respond.

How would they know that you won or lost? Will they pay what you loose????

Every casino has a player's card. You must use yours in the slot machine or hand it to the table dealer. They pay what you lose, up to the limit.
Do they pay you for your losses if you don't win? This shop sounds like a total rip off!
Do they front you a pre-loaded players card with X amount of money on it? If not, you are playing with YOUR money. There is no way in heck I would be turning over my winnings if I'm floating the shop with my cash.

The players cards are not pre-loaded. The slots reimburse $15. I would put in $15 and just play until I have nothing left. I'm not lucky and never seem to win.
