Another non-conventional way to make money or a scam?

I saw a job online through American-Consumer-Panels.com for and in home product tester. The mystery shopper in me finds the ad appealing. I love to find non-conventional ways to make money. Has anyone heard of this company or worked for them? My mom did something similar to this in the 1980's. Two products I remember her testing were the whistler coffee pot and vision (glass) cookware. I'm curious, but concerned it could be a scam.

I read the offer and started the qualifying questions. I am very skeptical, sounds too good to be true.

They are apparently a real company and a member of the Better Business Bureau. So far, so good, But there are many complaints of long periods of time and multiple requests to get paid (you get points for doing surveys which can be converted into real money). There is a group which rates survey companies, which I did not know. [www.surveypolice.com]
