McDonalds

On my own, I went to a McDonald's today... the drive through was shut down. Inside, the cashier was just using a calculator to figure out the payment and put the cash in a bin.

I can only imagine how the report would have been...

"Thank you for your efforts! However, you report was rejected because this McDonald's does not use calculators and your timing was off by .0525 seconds."
That is when you take out your camera and start snapping pictures. Too bad it wasn't a shop. Can you imagine the Manager trying to protest your findings.grinning smileygrinning smiley
I stopped in for a McMuffin and they scanned the receipt bar code indicating they completed the transaction and set it on the empty tray. I then waited well over 5 minutes for them to make the next batch of sandwiches. (No, I was not timing it.)

They were doing this with all the inside orders and giving preference to the drive thru and making everyone inside wait.

Then the dining room did not have a single wiped down table. I complained and had someone come out and wipe one down for me. I almost felt like filling out the receipt survey, but will not do it for a lousy sandwich.

I think next time I will just make my own breakfast sandwich at home and use real unprocessed cheese and put it on a fresh "everything" bagel and use no-nitrate apple smoked bacon.
Truth be told, the McDonald's in my neighborhood is efficient and the food is hot and fresh. The staff could not be any more courteous.
There are 3 McD's in my general travel area, and they have all gone seriously downhill.

Not enough employees, I don't know. They take forever, the order is wrong, even for two items. No cheese on my McMuffin.

I never stopped there much anyway, and now it doesn't matter to me at all whether they have breakfast all day. They would all flunk a MS.
Since they stopped mystery shopping, I have noticed the speed of service and quality of service in my area has seriously gone downhill.
I went to a very busy and popular travel center mdoogles on vacation recently, and the counter was really dirty. The manager was standing right there and I told her that the mystery shopper would be here soon and that she should clean up. winking smiley
I just start talking to myself in a low voice about stuff a mystery shopper would be required to evaluate. Counter dirty. tables not wiped off. Took 2 minutes 12 seconds to order. Must check restroom. Then I watch the crew run around and clean like mad.
BTW I never did one MC Donalds shop for the huge MSP that had them when they were regularly shopped.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
