I've read all the comments here. I'm a bit frustrated with signing up with Gig Spot, too. I signed up because I kept getting the emails basically telling me how it was going to make my life easier. Last night, I see a shop I want and tried to get it based on the email I received, but was redirected to Gig Spot. Ok, no problem. I get to Gig Spot and now I have to retest for a shop I've done several times, plus, complete an application like I'm a new shopper for this company. Why? I log into Gig Spot and it is asking me hundreds of what I called crazy shops - like the DATE of my first fast food shop - huh, can't remember, since I've been mystery shopping off and on since the mid-80's. Seriously? Why these questions? (Why do we have to enter pay info when all that has already been set up with the MSCs?) I thought this was just an app that was pulling all the companies together that use the same platform, to make it easier to submit our reports. But it seems to be much more. Very disappointed. I'm in a small town, and unfortunately not many shops available here. Some of my favorites are now using this app. It seems much more difficult to get to my shops.
Hi Arkyoutlaw!
You are correct, this is an app where MSCs using the Shopmetrics platform will post their available shops, on GigSpot. But it's much more than a place to submit your reports. One of the benefits of GigSpot, is to have all your information in one place. You no longer need to go to several MSCs or have multiple logins/passwords. Now you can apply for shops, complete/submit them and update your profile all in one place.
Updating your profile in GigSpot updates it for all the MSCs associated with GigSpot. Also, you can build your profile as you go along. You do not have to fill out all the information at once. If you apply for a shop and it requires a question in your profile to be filled out, GigSpot will prompt you to fill it out. Until then, you don't have to fill out the questions. The questions in the profile are current questions that certain MSCs are asking. They pertain to what type of shopper their client requires to complete their shop.
As for your payment information, you may have it entered in a current MSC's site. However, your information from each MSC was not transferred to GigSpot.
If you are having any difficulties maneuvering around in GigSpot or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at
help@gigspot.com
Thank you!!
