Gig spot

I did a search to find this thread since I just barely got the Gigspot app. I haven't had any issues. It's working well for me. I see a list of nearby jobs and am still able to log into the individual websites to search farther out if I want to. I"m not a fan of the shopmetrics platform so I am hopeful that this one will be better.

I am using Gigspot as well. It works fine on my PC but I have a problem with the app on my Iphone. When I try to view my assigned shops it says the password is not valid. I have tried uninstalling the app and after the reinstall I still get the password invalid message.
Hi Kenasch! Could you contact me at help@gigspot.com so we can help get this figured out for you? If you can let us know what kind of iphone you have and what version of the GigSpot app you have downloaded. Also, if you have a screen shot of the error you receive when trying to log into GigSpot on the app, please send that too. If you have any other feedback about the app, please add that in too. We really appreciate it!!

I sent you the info and now the app is working fine. Wow, great customer support!
I reported my first shop within the app, easy as pie and everything worked great. Love it.
I felt the same way about Gig Spot and I called Ritter and Associates and they got it removed for me. The reason I called them was I was trying to accept jobs from them and my password kept getting blocked. In all the years I had worked for them it had only happened one time but since Gig spot it was a common occurrence. I am thankful to be rid of it
I called Ritter and Associates and explained what I wanted and Rebecca had it removed for me YEA
Hi Everyone! I just wanted to stop in add a little information about GigSpot. We have added and updated items since we first launched GigSpot. The issues that were discussed when this thread was first started have been changed, for the better!

One piece of information that I think everyone needs to know is about logging into GigSpot or a MSC's site. Once you sign up on GigSpot, you will have one login. Your login will be the email address you signed up with and the password you created on GigSpot. You will use those for everything (logging into GigSpot or the MSC's site). You do not have to have separate logins or passwords for all the sites. That is one of the benefits of GigSpot; so if you try to log into a site and it says your password is not valid, make sure you are using your GigSpot login information.

Also, GigSpot is for MSCs that use the Shopmetrics platform. All the MSCs that are using GigSpot are found there as well.

If you have any other questions or need help, please feel free to contact us at help@gigspot.com.

Hi ctalbert! I am glad I was able to help. You can contact me at Shopmetrics, through help@gigspot.com, if you need anything else. Alta360 Research (formally RitterAssociates) is one of the many MSCs that are using GigSpot.

This is not the beta version. I was unknowingly made a beta version tester about a month ago and it was such a nightmare especially since I was blocked from accessing the individual websites to submit my reports. There is no way for you to deactivate yourself unless they recently added that feature. It took them days, I think four days to be exact, for them to remove me from the beta program. I had several overdue reports but I was in communication with my schedulers and editors.

Sorry! It took so long for me to get back to this, But any software that is just released into the wild but has so many people complain about it is still in the beta version. It has been that way since before Windows 3.1 was released. When they upgrade a software program, you become a Beta Tester if you are an early adopter. Programmers have this little rule I don't care if it works properly ship it now, and we will fix it when the bugs are finally reported to us. IE beta 2.0 testing.
Been reading all the posts, new to these mystery shop companies and platforms. so gigspot basically is one place where you can apply for jobs with different companies and instead of having to log into different companies own websites to see you jobs, you can log into this one and see everything? is that correct?
I didn't sign up because I had to take all the shops as a package.

Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning; the devil shudders...And yells OH #%*+! SHE'S AWAKE!
I removed it because it did not work to suit my needs. Then I had to add it back to not remove my old profile from a company I like. I still do not like it and I am not seeing jobs this company wants to fill. I hope this is made a lot better soon and the companies that are using it know and tell the gigspot people that changes need to be made in their app. The biggest thing that bothers me is the limited search and not being able to take a shop from the companies page at all.
I figured I just won't take jobs with companies that use the app. It saves me tons of time and headache not worrying about it.
On my PC aka Laptop, don't have a smartphone, when I login to any shopmetrics site it gives me the option of going to gig spot or the classic msc site which works like old. I only use one password for all my mscs so that did not affect me.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Hello! If anyone has any questions about GigSpot, please feel free to contact us at help@gigspot.com. Thank you!!

Hi bowlingbabe6! You are correct. GigSpot is one place that allows you to have one login/password and one profile across the board for several MSCs. The need to go to each MSC's website (MSCs that are associated with GigSpot) individually is not needed nor to have separate logins/password. You can find shops from different MSCs, apply for them and then enter/submit them all in one place. If you have any questions about using GigSpot, please feel free to shoot us an email at help@gigspot.com. Thank you!!

Hi MA Smith! Not all shops are packaged together, there is a very small amount of shops that are on GigSpot. If they are packaged together it will tell you on the first page of the grouping. Thank you!!

This is how I feel too. I said in a previous post that I wouldn't take jobs from gigspot. However, I should revise that to say that I HAVEN'T taken any from the new gigspot app that I would normally take because of the confusion involved. I'm not sure who I'm accepting a job from. I don't like not being able to go to a companies website.

Hi sbrown44105! The name of the MSC is listed in the shop details, along with their company logo. Could you send me an email at help@gigpspot.com, I can help you with getting started on GigSpot and answer any other questions you many have. Thank you!!

I wish that they would have a search by city name instead of zip code. When I travel, I have to look up the zip codes, but I certainly know that I'm in Austin or New Orleans or....or...or!
I've read all the comments here. I'm a bit frustrated with signing up with Gig Spot, too. I signed up because I kept getting the emails basically telling me how it was going to make my life easier. Last night, I see a shop I want and tried to get it based on the email I received, but was redirected to Gig Spot. Ok, no problem. I get to Gig Spot and now I have to retest for a shop I've done several times, plus, complete an application like I'm a new shopper for this company. Why? I log into Gig Spot and it is asking me hundreds of what I called crazy shops - like the DATE of my first fast food shop - huh, can't remember, since I've been mystery shopping off and on since the mid-80's. Seriously? Why these questions? (Why do we have to enter pay info when all that has already been set up with the MSCs?) I thought this was just an app that was pulling all the companies together that use the same platform, to make it easier to submit our reports. But it seems to be much more. Very disappointed. I'm in a small town, and unfortunately not many shops available here. Some of my favorites are now using this app. It seems much more difficult to get to my shops.

Hi Arkyoutlaw!

You are correct, this is an app where MSCs using the Shopmetrics platform will post their available shops, on GigSpot. But it's much more than a place to submit your reports. One of the benefits of GigSpot, is to have all your information in one place. You no longer need to go to several MSCs or have multiple logins/passwords. Now you can apply for shops, complete/submit them and update your profile all in one place.

Updating your profile in GigSpot updates it for all the MSCs associated with GigSpot. Also, you can build your profile as you go along. You do not have to fill out all the information at once. If you apply for a shop and it requires a question in your profile to be filled out, GigSpot will prompt you to fill it out. Until then, you don't have to fill out the questions. The questions in the profile are current questions that certain MSCs are asking. They pertain to what type of shopper their client requires to complete their shop.

As for your payment information, you may have it entered in a current MSC's site. However, your information from each MSC was not transferred to GigSpot.

If you are having any difficulties maneuvering around in GigSpot or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at help@gigspot.com

Thank you!!

Finding jobs is a piece of cake. However, wait until you need to enter your report. I just tried to enter a lengthy report via my iPhone. The questions are illegible, making it impossible to use. Next I tried to enter the report via my computer only to have the entire report vanish. I am now out $73 and late on my report. I have contacted the scheduler as well as Gigspot.

I am having the same problem. I tried it on my IPad and android phone but could not read some of the questions.
Wow, did that person even answer any of your questions or help with your problems?! They simply stated what Gigspot supposedly does. This is why I will never use Gigspot. It is way too confusing. They have the right idea, but it just isn't working, apparently for lots of shoppers. Call me old fashioned, but I will keep it simple for me and just check each MSC's website every day.
I signed up as well as was not able to get into a MSC that was packaged on gigspot. Then I tried to login at gigspot and was shown some computer language since i don't have a smartphone. I had to request to for my account to be canceled since I couldn't get past that computer language to check for shops..

Hi silverchic78!

We do help each shopper and answer all questions, that are sent into us at help@gigspot.com. I don't know the shoppers above (due to keeping identities covert), but if they did contact us, we have connected. We are here to help shoppers successfully navigate GigSpot.

Thank you!!
