Misleading scheduler

We're desperate they said. Mystery shop with reveal and SHORT audit they said. Thirty minutes or less they said. Well, an hour and a half later, I finished the shop. Now to go home and do the report!! Ugh!!!

Which client? Since you did not name the MSC, it is okay to say the client's name. That way more forum members may be able to help you.
I have learned to say "please email me the offer, and I'll check it within the next 10 minutes". That way it's in writing, and there is no chance for misunderstanding. Got paid $20 extra to last minute Sonic shop two days ago!

If the OP won't identify the client, perhaps we'll be told whether the shop was generously bonused or if the MSC offered a totally useless HERO CITATION in lieu of additional $$$.

Well. Now we know why they were desperate, don't we?

Does the Hero Citation company do mystery shops with revealed audits?
I think I know exactly which company you are talking about. If so, they have several different clients with long revealed mystery shop/ audits. Audits are never short unless you are an experienced auditor. Then, as an experienced auditor, you know what to expect and how to make the process more efficient. My best advice is to keep taking the same audit or audits over and over again. That way when a new one comes along that claims to only take a half an hour (for the experienced auditor), you know to add a few minutes onto the time it takes to complete it while you learn the new guidelines.

I personally dislike mystery shops with revealed audits very much. I do love audits but I feel silly when I just made a purchase with someone and THEN have to tell them OH YEAH now I'm going to completely judge the entire premises on cleanliness and value right in front of you. You know how you didn't make eye contact when greeting me? Well that's going in the report too! Have a great day!

They did bonus, but I didn't feel like it was adequate considering their misrepresentation. You are right, I am an inexperienced auditor. So, perhaps with time I can become more efficient. I just felt like the scheduler was telling me whatever she had to to get it scheduled. 5-6 pictures vs 20-25 pictures is not even close. but, I will chalk it up to lesson learned. Thanks for all your feedback. I'm a newbie to the forum, but am loving all I learn here!!
I didn't mean to make you feel inexperienced. We all learn together. That being said and as I said before, audits are never short no matter what someone might tell you over the phone. If everything is perfect you might get away with 5-6 pictures but normally anything wrong needs to be documented which means a picture of every infraction adding time onto your visit and paperwork. Of course, they won't explain this when they are trying frantically to get it scheduled by deadline. It's just something that comes with the territory. I hope this one audit doesn't throw you off all audits for good as some can be quite lucrative.
To me, 5-6 pictures = 50 pictures. I tend to take more than I need and invariably 5 or 6 does not always cut it...
