As some of you know, I have a VW and there aren't a lot of service shops offered for VWs (at least that I've seen). My car's check engine light had been on for a couple of months until today. My dad has basic enough car knowledge to have diagnosed the problem, and had been expecting the repair to come to about $800 in total.
I did a Midas shop a few weeks ago and they were absolutely lovely and very honest when I shopped them, so I decided to return to them today have them give me a repair quote. They informed me of a fee for the service when I called them over the phone, so I was fully expecting to pay for the diagnosis, which I was fine with, especially since they were transparent about the fee and I would essentially be paying for their time spent looking at the car.
So I get to Midas, and not only did they not charge me for the check, but they informed me that my car was still under extended warranty, and told me that I could have the repair done for free if I brought it to the dealership down the road. So I had my car fixed today for absolutely no cost.
I LOVE these people!! They were so kind and honest. I probably never would have gone there if I hadn't shopped them since there are tons of other car repair places closer to where I live, but I'm so glad I shopped them in the first place.
Anyone else have any similar experiences?
Have you become a regular at a place you never would have set foot in normally?
