Browser that works with SASSIE?

I've tried IE, Firefox, Chrome.

This is for MSPA/Jobslinger, Intelli-shop, and all companies evidently on the SASSIE platform. I just get part of a page. Like, if I open the report, there's no save or submit button at the bottom of the page. On MSPA, no matter what state I enter in search, I get "sorry, there are no results". Hard to believe MSPA doesn't have one single job in California or New York!

Any suggestions? This has been on-going. I'm sick of going to the library -- don't have a problem on THEIR computers!

If you are using current versions of Firefox and IE and have been otherwise doing your updates on your computer, there really should not be a problem. You may want to try with nothing else open on your computer just in case you are overloading on-board memory.
Are all your add-ons up to date, such as Flash, Java, etc??? Have you tried simply shutting the computer down and restarting? Simple things, but sometimes they can help.

If you don't have a problem on the library computers then it is surely a problem with your computer not with the Sassie system. Do you have a smart phone and/or IPad? You should be able to access the Sassie companies without a problem on them as well.
ROTFLOL!!! Use a smart phone or IPad? Surely you jest.

But if the problem is my computer, why is it ONLY SASSIE I'm having a problem with? Wouldn't it be here, hotmail, and everything else I use?

My ignorance is vast.

I don't know about add-ons. I really just don't have a clue.

Or, maybe, that should be sad smiley

Ceasesmith,
Add ons are stuff your browser uses to make sure the videos, sounds, graphics and stuff work the way they are supposed to. First thing I would suggest in Firefox, is to go to the "Help" Tab at the top, click on the "About Firefox" tab at the bottom of the list, and see if your browser is up to date. If not, update the browser and see if that helps. If it's updated, then click on the "TOOLS" tab, at the top, just to the left of the Help tab. You'll see "Add Ons" in the list. Click on that. At the very top, in small blue print, you'll see a statement that says, "Check to see if your plugins are up to date"...do that. Update anything that is outdated. It takes a while, so do this when you're not in a rush. You may or may not have to re-start your browser after some of these updates. When you're all done with this, go ahead and close out and then re-open your browser. Then see if these MSC web sites work any better. I hope you can get this sorted out. These are just suggestions, and I hope they may help!
Wow, guysmom, you give GREAT instructions, in plain, easy to understand English! I just did all those things. No changes. Everything is up to date, everything is set to "activate automatically", and all that stuff.

I also just deleted 400 files in some kind of storage...might free up some storage, like someone suggested.

Thanks, all.
How about trying to scroll down? Maybe it's just that the bottom of the page isn't visible on your monitor screen?

No I was not jesting. I use my smart phone and iPad all the time to access Sassie when I'm out of the house. I use them to find available shops and to check status on shops I've completed. Sometimes I get feedback while traveling that more info is needed on a submitted report and I use my iPhone to provide that on the Sassie form. I don't complete the entire report on the iPhone or iPad but I've read on here that many do.

In addition to scrolling as suggested above, have you tried just reducing the viewing size do you can see more? To do this click on the "ctrl" and "-" keys at the same time. Those are the control and minus keys. To enlarge use the control and plus key.
Ceasesmith,
This is the kind of problem that causes computer nerds like me to keep searching to try and find something that will fix your problem! Here's something else I read....don't know if it will help, but it's easy to try. Go back to "Tools" and "Add on". Over on the left hand side, choose the "Appearance" tab, and see what your browser shows. Mine shows "Default" and all works well with me. If yours is on anything but Default, see if you can switch it and then see if there is any difference. Good luck, and I'll keep looking for an answer for you!

ETA: Here's another idea....have you tried downloading another browser, such as Safari or Opera??? Those might be temporary fixes, and don't use up all the memory that Chrome does...something you may want to try. I believe you can even import/export bookmarks as well.

Ceasesmith,
Here's one more idea: Go up to your "View" tab, and click on "Page Style". Make sure you have "Basic Page Style" selected. If you have "No style" selected, change it to "Basic Page Style" and see if that helps.

ETA: Here's something else to try....Check that your system clock is set correctly
In some instances the loading and verification of secure web content will be time-dependent, so you should check that date, time and timezone are set correctly on your system.
Who knew????

Guysmom - some good suggestions but its odd that the OP said the problem is on three different browsers - IE, Firefox, and Chrome. I think your solutions are mainly for IE. Hopefully just scrolling down or decreasing the size of the view size will fix it.
I WISH to high heaven I knew how to take a screen shot. I don't. Wouldn't be able to post it here, anyway, to show you what I mean.

I just get part of the page. Like on the report page on Intelli-shop for example, there's no save/submit buttons on the bottom of the page. So can't save or submit report. Refreshing the page just makes all the answers disappear, LOL!!!

Is the system clock the one that shows the time on my task bar, in the lower right hand corner of the screen? It sure looks correct.

Thanks, all.

Oh, I missed that somehow....thanks for pointing that out. Then the fix would have to be something that controls all 3 browsers, such as making sure date/time is correct.....hmmmm.......Have you tried RIGHT CLICKING on your desktop, selecting "Screen Resolution" and then try setting it at something like 1280 x 800, if it's not already set at that?

Will search for more clues after Thanksgiving dinner....provided the tryptophan doesn't kick in first!!

ETA: Yes, the system clock is the one at the bottom of your taskbar. If date/time are correct, then scratch that one off the list!

I think you are onto something here. It may also be a problem with the "theme" that controls the window colors. I've found that if it is set a certain way, there are some things that I can't see at all on a page. To change the theme, right click on the wallpaper and click on personalize. Then select a different theme and see if that makes a difference. Happy TG.

That's a good idea, too! Maybe between either your suggestion or mine, it'll help with ceasesmith's issues...sure hope so!

Cease, a couple of months ago we were in a thread where it was explained to you that you click the prntscrn button on your keyboard and then click paste into a word document...remember? That's how you take a screenshot.

Anyway to save you can also click 'enter' with Sassie. Sounds like there were some good suggestions on troubleshooting your problem in above posts. Good luck.
Better yet, paste it into Paint. Then you can save it as a JPG.

Alternatively, if you have Dropbox or OneDrive, both let you save screenshots just by pushing the Print Screen button (you do have to turn on the setting in the program on your computer).
Yes, this dinosaur doesn't have/know/understand/use Word or Paint. Haha!

It took me 9 years to learn cut & paste; maybe (if I live to 80!) in nine years I'll learn "screenshot".

LOL!!!!!
