submitting reports

Recently when trying to submit a report that has numerous pages, when I click NEXT to go to the next page the browser goes to the MSC log in page. If I have just written a detailed narrative on the previous page, that narrative and some of the completed answers have gone blank. For this report there is no SAVE button anywhere on a page to save anything. I discovered this when after logging in again and clicking SUBMIT REPORT the completed info has disappeared. Also, if I spend a lot of time on a page, sometimes the browser will go back to the MSC log in page. I just noticed this happening with this MSC when they have reports with numerous questions and pages in a report. I have resorted to recording the detailed narratives just in case they disappear. Has anyone else experienced this?

If this is happening with just one company, I would make sure I was using the browser they recommend and if I was, I would contact them about the issue. If it is happening with multiple companies I would try with different browsers and/or with a different computer altogether.

I have seen a problem similar to this once or twice over the years when it seemed to relate to my internet connection shutting down and when it came back I had timed out of the website so was returned to the login page.

I use Firefox for reports and make sure that I take the updates and upgrades on it so I have few problems. I recently had issues with a Win 10 update that spent more than an hour attempting to configure the system after making the updates. I used the restore function to go to a date about a month earlier when the system worked fine and as the updates came back in, things worked properly.

What do you mean by "recording the detailed narratives?" Do you mean verbally recording them on a tape recorder or your cell phone? If yes, that means you still have to retype everything which is a waste of time. You should write your narratives out in advance in Word or something. Then copy and paste into the report. Check for reformatting issues before submitting the report. Make any necessary corrections then submit.
OP, since you have not mentioned a client, please tell us which MSC so forum members can help you better. Many MSCs are now recommending Goggle Chrome as a preferred browser. MF has sent out three emails over the past month telling shoppers to make sure that their browers or software or whatever are up-to-date for a new change taking place on December 1st.
Thanks, my smart/dumb self didn't even think of that. Will definitely do this from now on. Thanks again.
The MSC is StN, which is a great company. My OS is Vista Home Premium so i don't get the updates for Chrome. I manually update it often. The company also recommended IE-10. I can only upgrade to IE-9. I know, before you say it, spend a few bucks and get another machine.
