I just had to email Sinclair for them to reissue a check which I never received for shops done in Sept. I received the check from them for my shops done in Oct on Monday 11/28/16. According to their site it was mailed on 11/21/17. So I can safely assume that my check for my Sept shops mailed again according to Sinclair on 10/27/16 was lost in the mail. Why must we deal with this behind the times companies who still insist on issuing checks. I know I am free to choose not to work with such companies but have never had problems until now with receiving checks. I will state that Sinclair has been and continues to be a good company to do shops for. They can be a little cheap as far as pay but I pick and choose what shops to do and use manly as fillers.
Back to the lost check the site says "Please note the DATE SENT column on this report. This is the date (or approximate date) your check was mailed from Sinclair. Please allow 10 working days for delivery, before inquiring."
I initially emailed them about my missing check 11/16/16 14 business days after check was supposedly issued. The response:
"Thank you for your email. Once we mail the check it is subject to USPS delays and frequently checks are delivered after 14 to 21 days. I am unable to replace a check that is less than 30 days old.
If you have not received your check by December 1st please reply to this email with the check information as well as the reason it needs to be replaced. Manual payments are run the 10th of each month so payment will be processed on December 10th.
Thank you."
So I must wait till Dec 10th for a check to be mailed and may not get it till perhaps the last day of Dec according to them but most likely around 7 days after mailing at the latest so lets say Dec 17th. This is for shops done way back in Sept all because they can't get with the times and use direct deposit or paypal or even Dowlla or Pay Quicker or Bill.com. I mean even the stone age Maritz now has direct deposit.
Rant over
