Exxon mystery shop / reveal

Hello, I received a phone call if I would be interested in these shops where I would reveal myself and then take pictures of each pump without a person it it. How do you resize the pictures to the required 640x480? I have Samsung Galaxy S5. Is there a setting or an app to take the photos in the required size and no resizing would be required after the photo is taken? What other things are there to consider? I read another thread which mentioned question 17. What is that all about?

I tried a free app called Open Camera. It supports 640x480. You should consider using a camera if you have one, instead of your phone. To me it is much easier to use.
The infamous Q17 is not this gas client. Though I have a current IPhone, I still use a digital camera for this MSC's shops with the settings automatically set at 640x480.

I have had to use my phone a few times when I've had issues with my regular camera or inadvertently left my camera home. It is much easier to use a camera. The camera is easier to maneuver along with the paperwork, and the strap around my neck helps it stay secure. When I've used the phone (Samsung) it seems to automatically change the photo sizes. I've never changed the size when using the phone camera. As for my regular camera, I have it set at a larger photo size, 1024 x 768. I've never had a photo sent back due to size. I've had requests for better photos when the setting was 640x480 due to lack of clarity in print, so I changed it a long time ago and never had a problem since then. Not that I'm advising anyone to do it, but so far I've had good luck with it and no questions from the MSC in question.

I use my smartphone because I don't want to carry an extra item such as a digital camera. For audits that require 640X480, I have to use my tablet. My phone takes better photos. I have used the phone for Exxon audits, though, and have not had any rejected due to photo size.
I have a Galaxy S7 and do ~30 Exxon shops a month. I use whatever setting that come default on the phone and I have never had a shop put on hold for the photo quality. The initial "test photo" I do remember reformatting and sending in for approval but after that I just used my regular phone setting and have always been fine. Good luck!! I love these shops!! Remember to take a photo of the lights even if they are on auto-timer!! Please message me if you have any encounter any problems or have any questions.
Hi, I am running across this problem where they are asking for a test shot resized to 640 x 480 and IOS 10 on iPhones does not allow you to change the file size. IOS 9 and lower did allow you to do this.

Is there any software that anyone would recommend to complete this? Everything I have found wants you to pay a membership and I am not quite sure that this would be worth spending the money.

It's nice to know that once you get approved that you don't have to resize the photos, but for their test allowing me to get in rotation, they are requiring it. Quite frustrated right now. Welcome any words of wisdom on the subject.

fyi. Open Camera is only for Android phones not iPhones/Apple.

Thanks!

Try Pixresizer for batch photos. It is free, quick and easy. And, by the way, you will have to resize all photos to 640 x 480 for the Exxon shops.
