We were hit with a major wind storm here/small tornado was spotted in the area. The power has been out for 3 days. Houses are without roofs, out buildings and debris are everywhere, old brick buildings are collapsed in the street, power lines are down everywhere, trees down, some homes are flipped upside down or on their sides and such. My house remains mostly okay. My place is still on it's foundation, but the porch partially blew off, the awnings are looking rough and pieces of roofing and tin flew away, and tons of items around blew off. Parts of the siding blew away and I haven't had internet or power. I'm using up some of my phones data to post a little today. Many of these locations may not power and are experiencing clean up; I did phone call several places to no answer. The landlines are in and out. Areas are flooded from rain storms, and today it's snowing so anyone who doesn't have coal, wood, or kerosene is going to be cold
Read through the forum and it seems it can be common place with some companies to be unsympathetic towards weather. Other companies are excellent. Kudos to those companies that are here for us when tragedy, weather, and life hits!
I had to cancel seven and reschedule a dozen or so shops this weekend. It may show up somewhere in a back office, but I was able to get everything worked out.
My honey is suggesting we go be part of the cleanup crews in a neighboring county this weekend. They were hit much worse than our town... but he doesn't want to take a tetanus shot
