Freddy's Steakburgers

I did this shop two days ago and it was the first time I'd eaten there. I wasn't sure what the fuss was about. It was ok. I liked the frozen custard, but the place was packed and they were blaring bad 80s music. Burgers were somewhat like Steak n Shake, but I like Steak n Shake much better. The report wasn't too bad. I ordered the required combo for me and a kid's meal and it was $20. Seems a little high.

We have a Freddy's in town now. I ate there once (not for a shop). It was expensive and okay. But it's always busy, so others must like it.
Seems a little high compared to.....?

I do prefer Freddy's compared to other similar places like Culver's or Steak and Shake though. Simple and I like how the meat's prepared.

And you are getting the majority of yoyr money back???? So why whine???

Please quote the portion of my post that you consider whining. Reimbursement was $15, so I still paid $5 of my own money.
You were not whining, just giving your opinion. That crack with all the sarcastic question marks was uncalled for.

Two companies do Freddy's. One pays $15 + $5 fee. The other pays $12 and $6 fee. I do both. smiling smiley

There is a third company that does Freddy's. I like the third company's shop better than the other two. It reimburses a full meal for two, regardless of how much it is, requires purchase of two combos and two ice cream desserts, and pays a $5 fee.
I love the third company! They are probably my favorite company to shop for, I just wish they had more for me.
One company used to reimburse $25 but changed it to $15. That was sad but I think they goofed because the guidelines read $15 while the shop log would always show $25.
On a side note - not sure if this is true but I went to one and attempted to purchase the fry sauce bottle they had on the counter once. The cashier told me not to buy it. She said it was just thousand island well blended. Do you think that's accurate? I LOVE the stuff and so do my kids!

One is being built in my area. I love frozen custard. There is a good frozen custard stand nearby, but they don't sell other food. There is no Culver's location here.
Wow, that's surprising that there are 3 companies shopping them. Their frozen custard was delicious. I'd never had frozen custard before this visit, and I enjoyed it more than regular ice cream or frozen yogurt.

Tarantado, regarding the price, I thought it was high compared to Steak & Shake, where I can get a double cheeseburger, fries and a Coke for $5, and kids eat free with every purchase of $8 or more. At Freddy's, a double hamburger (no cheese), fries and a small Coke came to $7.29 plus tax. The mini sundae was $3.89 plus tax. Although the sundae was yummy, it was quite small for almost $4.

I wonder if Steak & Shake is shopped.

They are! I've never done one bc the closest location is over an hour away. I think the shop covers enough for one person though. But we've never stopped there on our own dime though either.

They're pretty ok but I find it hilarious how they're so pretentious. They don't have a hamburger they have a STEAKBURGER and heaven forbid you call their ice cream ice cream.

I'm not going to debate the whole steakburger thing although it seems Steak 'n Shake coined the term first. However, there are differences between ice cream, frozen custard and gelato. Personally, I doubt I could tell the difference in a blind taste test. On the other hand, I can understand how a business would want to be sure their product was identified correctly.
