"Don't shop before"

For a Sassie shop, if the "don't shop before" date is 3/12, and the due date is 3/14, does this mean that technically I could complete this shop today (3/13) even though the date I assigned myself was tomorrow?

I believe so. When I have those specifications, I usually shop on the first available date, which would be 3/12 in your scenario unless schedule doesn't allow. I try to never wait until the last day unless it's something super easy.
Okay, thanks for the reassurance! It was a self-assign shop with those dates available so I'm guessing that it will probably be okay to shop today, especially with the storm coming in the Northeast US tomorrow. I'm making an effort to clear my schedule for tomorrow so I can stay in during the storm smiling smiley
You can shop it 3/12-3/13-314. Assuming you can turn it in on the due date and not before.

I agree with SunnyDays except that I always do the report the day I shop it. So if I do the shop 3/12, I report 3/12. If I do the shop 3/14, I report 3/14.
You need to be careful on this. Some companies won't let you shop any day other than the one you requested; even if the due date is later. I have requested to do a shop earlier than what I requested and the request was denied. Your best bet is to clear it through the scheduler if you want to do it earlier (or later) than requested.
I agree that there is no standard answer here. For example, SeeLevelhx uses the 'don't shop before' while clearly requiring the shops be performed only on the date assigned. Unless your instructions or guidelines are clear as to a date range or specific date, assume the shop is date specific.
