Papa Johns Shop Sorta Resolved. (:

So, did a PJ's shop with a $20 bonus and was excited for Friday night pizza grinning smiley I ordered a large pepperoni and cheese. The associate on the phone asked me what size I wanted my pepperoni and cheese. I told her large. She then said, "okay, a large pizza, and what did you want on it?" PEPPERONI AND CHEESE. She then asked me to hold. Comes back and asks me again what I needed. LARGE PEPPERONI AND CHEESE 0_o

The pizza gets here, pay for the pizza, guy leaves. Not a very friendly delivery person either... doesn't tell me time, his name, total, or show me pizza. He did ask if I wanted the receipt. I open the box after he's gone so I can start taking my photos and there is a plain cheese and sauce pizza inside :/ Was there anything in the instructions about what to do if they mess our pizza up? Or do we just take photos and write it up as it happened?

My receipt is just a credit card copy and the box tickets just say 14" original so I think she rang it in wrong 0_o

I have never done the delivery. Write it up, take the pictures and send a message .
If this shop is for the company that does NOT use Sassie than there is a box on the report to check that your pizza was incorrect and you explain what transpired. If it is for the Sassie company I can't help as its been almost a year since I did a location for them and can't remember the questions on the report.
Thank you Lucky! It's not a Sassie Company grinning smiley I've done them for Sassie before, too though. I read through instructions but didn't see anything about when it was wrong--but I could have overlooked. Thanks everyone grinning smiley I'm going to report it now. I'll send a message too, just to be sure and write it all up.

That's difficult because the shop instructions states you can't order a plain cheese. How would the msc know you didn't order a plain cheese since it was a phone delivery order?

I would take a picture of the photo with the shop number written to the side on a paper then call the restaurant back and ask for a manager. I'd explain that I spoke with Jane Doe and received the wrong order. They'll send you a new pizza. I would not risk not getting paid.

I'm super paranoid since my last pizza shop was rejected because the client lied about my photos being blurry.
sad smiley I already submitted and just explained. We haven't eaten the pizza though. It's just sitting in the fridge. We would have only eaten one or two slices anyway, and given the rest away but it's a sad lookin' little pizza. I did send an email. Apparently pepperoni and cheese are on special for a $7.99 carry out right now so she definitely rang me up wrong. I'll see if my scheduler responds and I may call back tomorrow. I haven't touched the pizza.

You are supposed to call them and have them deliver a correct new one. This shop will not be accepted. The only time I've had the wrong one accepted was when they sent me an XL pizza because it wouldn't make sense to call them to say, "I wanted a LARGE pizza, not an XL pizza!" But to call and say " I ordered a pepperoni pizza and got a cheese pizza" would make complete sense.

By the way, I would suggest that next time, you don't ask for cheese. They may think you want extra cheese, which is not allowed. They already know you want cheese if you order a pepperoni pizza. I do three of these shops a month, sometimes more. It really stinks when something isn't accepted, but those are normally my own fault - like the time I got the angle wrong because I took it in my car. I learned my lesson with that one!

I read through the directions from the company I did it with and it said nothing about reordering. The only thing it mentioned was "was your pizza correct" if not, what did you actually order and what did you receive? So we may be discussing different companies? There are 3 companies who shop PJ's. The scheduler pretty much said what a fellow poster said-- just check the box that my pizza was incorrect and write it up smiling smiley

Well as of right now there are 5 MSPs that I know of who are actively doing Botox Juan I mean Papa John shops. I also know of a dozen more who have done them at one point but are not currently doing them.
I would check the box that the pizza was wrong and explain. Then pray and hope you get paid and reimbursed. PJs seems to like to get out of paying anyway possible down to outright lying saying pictures were blurry, not at a 90 degree angle, etc. There is a reason these shops sit in many areas. They also never seem to start with a fee just reimbursement and that is no matter which MSC is doing it. I done them but due to pickiness, low pay, and quality of the product don't anymore. Plus I am in one of the best pizza markets in the world where ordering chain pizza is sacrilege.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

I just checked the instructions and you are right! I know they have changed the form multiple times, perhaps this requirement was changed as well. Glad to know things should work out in your favor!

I had one rejected initially with the company known for wanting very high pixel photos but have since gotten a nice camera. I didn't know 5 people had them, but the other 2 probably aren't close to me. I'm in the corner of a state that allows me to travel 20-30 minutes and be in one of two or three other states so I've spotted quite a few of these just minutes apart with different companies. Never had a place just flat out give me the wrong toppings but I did have one place give me seven or eight of the peppers on the side. Somehow, they thought I "was the girl who always DEMANDED a ton of extra peppers". I can't stand the pepper tongue sticking out smiley I usually wait to see if they hit $10-$20. I just explained what happened and took a ton of extra photos for them. The receipts aren't detailed, and if I ask for an itemized receipt that might raise some eye brows of a driver? Ah well. I hope it works out. I miss the web order shops. At least with those, I could earn points.

OP---------->were you paid for your shop? I don't see or read where anything was resolved. smiling smiley

Payment is always a resolved moment.smiling smiley
The scheduler wrote back late and told me that there was an option to select that I received the wrong toppings and to explain what happened and that's how I wrote it up. He sounded like it happens often enough. I guess I shall see once they grade it. Hopefully it's all good. :/ Don't wanna be out $16+$2 tip for a pizza we may end up not eating. Then again, the honey is like a human vacuum at times...

Aha, I finally found out that the reimbursement does cover in some areas. In my market the delivery pizza costs $24 + the tip when there are no coupons to be found. Reimbursement =$20. The one time I got the wrong pizza I saw it when I opened the box to check while the driver was still there and the driver immediately said they would bring a new one without my having to ask. Is that no longer allowed? I am pretty sure we can check the order while accepting the box from the driver.
I'd never had the issue so I don't stress it. Usually, Pep & Cheese is easy haha! I like the carry out best, though because it's on special for $7.99 and it's less money to have out there. I don't mind putting money into shops that we get good pay for, but it does stink to know that you're owed $1200 at the end of the month, but WAIT $600 of it is your own investmenttongue sticking out smiley

I've done this shop about 70 times and I never saw where you needed to re-order the pizza in the guidelines, if the pizza they send is not correct.

I don't know what to tell you. I read on this thread there were up to 5 companies that shop the chain. Maybe we do shops for different MSCs. I know it was there before because I received the wrong pizza years ago. I went back to the guidelines and read what I needed to do -alert them to fix the pizza and report only the correct one. I had taken photos of the incorrect pizza but discarded them and waited for the new pie to arrive. Perhaps this was before you did your first pizza shop with them? I've done 3-6 every month for the last 5 years I would say if that changes anything.

This was my first wrong pizza. I had never had it happen with any of the three companies so I wasn't too sure what to do. The one I shopped for did have a box to check if I got the wrong pizza though. Seems I did the right thing with this particular company. I guess I'll double check next time. Kinda like how I now check my Kroger receipts. I once got someones receipt for $3 worth of bananas instead of my $9 grocery receipt for wet cat food. I didn't use a Kroger card for some reason or another and the lady was not helpful when I called asking her to reprint or email. I ended up reshopping. Lesson learned. Guess I'll take a peek at the pie from here on out.

In the future just don't use the word "cheese" when you order. Just say pepperoni pizza and they won't get confused. Their cheese pizza sucks anyway.

I wish I could just order cheese! I choose pepperoni most often because it's the easiest to pull off but it's so greasy! No one will eat mushrooms with me so that's a rare order for when I'm alone (ie. never!).

I order tomatoes. It's okay and the best option as I am a vegetarian. I too wish I could order a plain pizza. The shop that was rejected was a mushroom topping. I didn't even eat it, I gave it to the concierge staff in my building.
