Shop It App Problems

So the Shop It app totally changed my life as a mystery shopper when I started using it a few years ago. There were some bugs in it then, which did lead to some minor issues but I haven't had any problems in awhile.

However, today I did two separate shops. Came home to put them in and realized both of my recordings cut off well before they were supposed to. I don't think this was my fault since it happened both times. Now I'm going to have to redo both shops and I'm trying to figure out if I should try using a different app or just be more thoughtful and backup my recordings with better notes when I redo the shops tomorrow. I did notice there's a update in the App store which I will be downloading but I'm still very hesitant.

So, my question is, has anyone else had this problem? I noticed they have a Facebook discussion group now but I don't want to join because everyone will be able to see that I've joined and I'd rather my whole friends list not know that I'm a mystery shopper (if they'd just take "mystery shopper" off their profile pic it would be fine).

Also, anyone know of a good alternative?

I'm really disappointed in this. Shop It makes my shops sooo much more easy and accurate.

I had the exact same problem on two shops last week. Was on airplane mode with no other apps running and the recordings were 10 seconds or less. Even tested while watching the app, and the recordings are 10 seconds or less no matter when you end them.

That's odd. Mine lasted longer than that but still cut off way too early. One was 2.5 minutes and the other was nearly 6 minutes, but neither was even close to the end of my shops. I guess I need to do some testing too.

Did you check the available storage on your device?

I had the same trouble. It lasted several days for a lot of shops. Very frustrating! I then uninstalled the app and got the new updated one. I just did a shop with no trouble at all!

I had that issue when I first started using the app a year ago. I live on that app! But, I do not use the app to record. I use a separate recorder because it has never failed me. I don't use the app for pictures either because its too cumbersome. Hmmm. I guess I basically use it for notes and timings. But, I sure as hell couldn't shop without it.

Shopping up and down the Colorado Rocky Mountain front range.
