Missed Marketforce Deadline -- Any hope?

I did a shop yesterday and was supposed to report it last night. I fell asleep though :/ At 3 AM I got an email reminder, but when I logged in first thing in the morning the shop was no longer listed. I left a voicemail with helpdesk and emailed them too. Anyone knows what happens in this case? Can the helpdesk go in and add the shop back to my list? I paid $25 out-of-pocket for reimbursement...so I'm hoping it wasn't a loss sad smiley Thanks guys

Ouch. I've been late to submit a report for them once or twice and they've later emailed me and gently nudge me to input my data. Market force is ultra stealth with how they do things so I don't know what will happen in your case. Its 50/50 and I would assume the worse.
If the report still shows up on your dashboard, you can submit it. If it has been removed, you can no longer submit and they will not accept it.
Depends on your record with them. I always call the scheduler, and they get the shop reopened for me.

If you don't have a list of scheduler phone numbers, it would be a good idea to start a list.

If you have a long and good history with them, they will re-open the shop; if you're brand new, I'm afraid they won't. And possibly deactivate you.

I have PMed you some phone numbers. Check your messages.

Was it your first shop?

If so, they might be lenient. On my first shop I didn't submit the report properly (I downloaded the questions from word and emailed it to the help desk). I was new and didn't know how to properly use the site. They didn't accept my report but did reimburse me for my meal after several back and forth emails. They told me it was a one time courtesy.
Fingers are crossed for you! They threatened to deactivate me when I entered my "end time" wrong on a report. They aren't big on forgiveness. I'm guessing the punishment will depend on your record with the company. I was brand new when I made the error.

Thanks for the advice. I was with marketforce back in 2012/2013, but just got back into it this week after a few years break.
ceasesmith can you PM me a few of those numbers. I lost the ones I had. I was told that if you call them and schedule a shop that way they will increase the pay, so I was wanting to get in touch with them, but didn't know how. As for the OP, call them, I've been with them a long time and once I forgot to report a shop and they called me the next day and asked me to hurry and get the report in. It was way past the 12 hours you are too report, but they let me do it.
Most of the time, it depends on your record with them. Contact them and maybe they will reopen the file, unless it's been given to someone else. I was sick once but I managed to do the shop. I fell asleep and remembered I needed to submit the report. I told them I was sick but managed to complete the report. However, I fell asleep because of the medication. They let me do the report.

If the shop does not have a 'Make Offer' link, calling them is not really going to get you anywhere.

OP, with their new policy you are most likely eating the tab. Please let us know either way.

I don't think you are going to be paid for that shop. Sorry. But contact them and see what they say. I had a shop years ago where my computer went on the fritz. I pulled my neighbors computer to get the report in. In the fray, I forgot to hit SEND and in the morning I had a nice reminder that they could SEE my report but I had not sent it! They were very nice about it. smiling smiley
That's one bad thing about nice restaurant dinner shops. You are full and ready to relax, not report, lol! Hope you get your chance to make it good. You described a nightmare I think I have actually had....
I missed where it was a restaurant shop? If so, it doesn't strike me to have been all that great with only a $25 reimbursement.

OP here. Good news smiling smiley Marketforce helpdesk reopened the shop so I was able to report after all. And yes, it was a restaurant, reimbursement plus a decent shop fee. Thanks you all.
MF is an okay company to shop for. Their predecessor (Shop'n'Chek) was the first company I ever shopped for. I've seen a lot happen since MF took them over. I am surprised they reopened the shop, as my understanding was once the deadline passes (8 hours when it used to be 12 hours!) if they have not gotten a completed report it goes right back up on the board for someone else to grab.
Guess they opened back up for the OP before someone else took it. If it was close to deadline they would have likely had to increase the shop fee and worry that it might not get picked up in time. Cheaper and easier to just reopen for the OP. Glad it worked out!
REMEMBER to hit the "refresh?" button at the top of the MF page before you assume it is gone for good. I have entered data in a shop, exit and saved, and then came back later and the shop was "gone"- until you hit the refresh (on the MF page-not on your computer) to see if it comes back. Once I did this the shop came back in view.
I guess they don't want to be known as merciless anymore. They totally approved my bonused shop without the receipt.

Glad it worked out for you OP!

Even back in the days of being known as "merciless," I've never had MF not approve a shop because I was missing a receipt. Many times with their big burger client I was not given a receipt. Or worse, a few times I was given the WRONG receipt. Their wing client had a habit of providing me a receipt that correctly showed my purchase but showed the wrong time, and, often, the wrong date. I always noted the receipt problems in my reports and I was always paid.
I had the correct receipt but the website wouldn't accept my picture/receipt. So I submitted the shop without it :/

It has to be in the right format and under (I think) 1 MB.
