They are not losing good shoppers. Good shoppers invest in their business based on research and development, identifying opportunities and growing.

2. Many people do not feel comfortable giving apps access to location services on their phone. Who knows when they are tracking you.

It appeared you were as the conversation you quoted was pertaining to required use of geoverify.

Shoptasic, I have Ultra Mobile (https://ultramobile.com/). I have found their $19 plan to be very affordable, though I did switch up to the $29 plan for the unlimited data. If you run out of data on the $19 plan you can buy more for $5 at a time. I also have Ting on another phone (https://ting.com/), which is post paid. So you pay for what you use then it's billed at the end of the cycle. So depending on your usage, one might be even less expensive than the other.
Thank you for a voice of reason instead of a snarky comment painting those who don't use it as old or unprofessional. There are a lot of reasons people might not want to add this particular app.@bgriffin wrote:
That doesn't change the fact that there are good shoppers who are uncomfortable allowing an msc access to location services.

That's a completely different point. Obviously (as stated) bgriffin has a smartphone and data. He's up to date on technology. There are shoppers who are not and choose not to be.

No, you just need an internet connection. If the location you are shopping has free WiFi you should be fine. You can download an app, I get GeoVerify for free. It's in the app store and it's a green logo.
