Electronic Store Audits

Have you done these? Is it worth it? You have to pay for a background check. The shop itself is 7-8 hours for $85-95 total.

Figure you are making about $10/hr. It depends on if you are in an area with few shop opportunities. For me, I would not, as I can make significantly more doing a few shorter ones for the same or more $$$. You will get reimbursed for the background check if you do two audits with this MSC.
How do i get on the mmerchanisder mystery shops please tell me i was a merchandiser ffor 6 years
Unless you find "cheats" you will end up making between $5 and $10 an hour and you have to take out taxes, phone, tablet, drive and answering follow-ups. There is a gigantic learning curve to these. There are just a few in my area so it didn't make sense for me to do 3 a month (within an hours drive), every other month for a total of 18 a year and $1,500 a year. If there are quite a few in your area then it would work out eventually. Some people on this forum say they can complete them in 5 hours, although that would only be with the Mgr handing you info and the other 'cheats'.
I know someone who is not on the forum who completes them in about five hours. Like any audit, repetition increases speed. He certainly wasn't that fast in the beginning. He also had a lot of locations. The managers do not provide him information and while he may have legitimate shortcuts, he does not cheat.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

I just completed my first one. The learning curve is HUGE. I don't see how it can be done in 5 hours. I'm embarrassed to say how long it took me. :-) Very challenging.
My first one took me the entire first day, during the holidays so they allowed us to come in early around 7am, and I had to go back the next day for like four hours. It was a base rate at $85 for about 15 hours. A huge part of that time was that their password did not work, the Manager refused to provide a scanner until around 3pm and was trying bribery and trickery, the person I was told to call if I had problems didn't call back for hours because she was doing her own audits that day and they made sure I waited until they reset the Mac products.

I thought it was a horrendous thing for a multi-billion dollar company to do that to us. I made up for it though. I am the proud owner of quite a few of their products! No one cheats me and mine!!!!!
My first store audit took quite a while as well, the second one was at a smaller store and went much better. The company really should recommend to first time auditors not to do a large store as their first audit... it really could scare away people!
Did my first yesterday. I even dreamed about this audit. Really indepth, tedious, and repetitive. Plus, the guides don't follow the order of the items in the app, so there's some flipping back and forth. But, MSC has long, specific guide, trainings, conference calls, and more.

The manager I started with was helpful, as were a few employees, but did not cheat. Second manager was more bitter about the process and the previous auditor. Haven't heard back from MSC yet on how I did.

Only one store in my area. I need to get faster. Was 6.5 hours straight through without breaks.
