Can I do video shopping effectively even if I get motion sick easily?

So... I'm the kind of person who gets super queasy watching home movies. It literally takes me HOURS to recover after watching a short segment of video from a shaky, hand-held camera. Should I rule-out video shopping? If I accepted a video shopping assignment, would I need to watch portions of my video to complete a report?

Then you are going to hate wearing bi-focals. The problem with home movies or videos is the movement of the picture taker, slow down your movements. Practice makes perfect. I thought most VS was down with a button cam, so unless you are doing jumping jacks while shopping, most movements should be down to a minimum. .
Most video shopping is done with a button camera, firmly attached to the button hole on a shirt. That makes for a very steady picture, not at all like a handheld camera.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I've found that most of what I need to do when reviewing my videos is listen to the audio. I check the video enough to make sure that my angles were good (there's not generally much to do but apologize if they aren't) and then I listen to the audio as needed as I write my report.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
And truth be told there are tons of video shops that you even need to watch for the report. Gotta love in time, date, file name, associate name, any issues and submit.

Some video companies request the shopper review a video to make certain the shopper does not appear in reflections, mirrors, etc. If the shopper does appear in the video even for a second or two, then the time frames (which appear at the bottom of the video) are noted in the upload report so the editor can remove them. It would be best for you to contact each video company you are interested in doing business with to determine what they require of the shopper and the video product.
I never watch my full video unless it is extremely short. I spot check sound, angles and reflections. Maybe it is seven years experience, but I automatically know which parts of the shop may have had angle issues or reflections so it is easy to fast forward to them.

As sojo said, unless you are doing jumping jacks, the video should be fairly steady.

Same. I am probably a bad shopper but if my camera is running when I walk out the door and it's a report that I don't need to look at the video for, there are times I don't even look at it.

If it is my only video of the day and something that cannot be reshopped anyway, my review is not usually immediate. After having a few issues over the years on routes, dead batteries, shorts in button cams, and one DVR dying, it is just prudent to spot check one before going to another.

Oh I don't even know how to do it on the DVR. I never look at it until I'm home (or hotel).
