Well I finally totally flubbed a nice shop today. Here's what happened: Signed up with a new MSC, they sent an email with some shops listed, I inquired about a chocolates shop and was suddenly assigned it. I sent back an email explaining that I only wanted to see the requirements before I signed up but didn't get a reply. So I sent another email saying I would go ahead and do the shop even though it is reimbursement only (try to avoid those).
Fought with myself all morning because it's rainy and cold here and I really didn't want to go out. But I did. Shop was easy and very interesting as I suspect that the "chocolate advisor" was only filling in for someone as he did nothing but stand behind the cash register and was dressed in a hoodie and jeans.
Got home, attempted to fill out report (couldn't figure out how to load pictures), and discovered that I only spent $16 when the amount should have been $18. In my mind I thought the reimbursement was up to $18. Senior moment to be sure.
Wrote email to scheduler apologizing for my mistake. Since this is an overseas company I don't expect to hear from them until tomorrow. I really feel bad about messing up the shop but at least I'm stuck with yummy chocolates.
I'll make mistakes but I don't make the same one twice.....
