How do you prefer payment from your MSPs?

Hello fellow shoppers! I am just curious! How many ways do MSPs pay shoppers? I know of PayPal, Mailed Checks and Direct Deposit - but are there other ways MSPs pay shoppers. I have heard of some companies using reward programs, and gift cards. Is that true? Are there any other options for payment ? Just getting started and wondering what your opinion is on the best way to go for payment selection- and if given the option of PayPal or Direct Deposit what is the best choice and why?

My first choice is Direct Deposit, then Paypal works, third is a check which several companies still use.

Apparently some use gift cards, but I don't work for gift cards and can't remember who.

The best choice is the MSCs preferred payment method because that will probably be the one with no fee. For instance, Second to None gives shoppers the choice of direct deposit or PayPal. However, the fee for a PayPal transaction is charged back to the shopper. Some allow different options all free of charge.

My first choice is always direct deposit because it is the easiest and quickest. I am lucky PayPal transfers only take 24 to 48 hours to get to my bank, but if I can cut out the middleman, why not.

I don't care how they pay me. As long as they pay me. It all spends the same.
Unlike some people I don't mind getting paid in gift cards. The only two clients I know of that have ever paid in gift cards are places that I eat at anyway, so it's as good as cash to me. Especially considering I have never spent the gift card amount on one shop, so it's like a payment and reimbursement for me.

With all things being equal (ie. no fees to me etc), I prefer paypal, followed by checks, then direct deposit. I prefer "collecting" the funds in Paypal or holding checks until I have to pay my credit card devoted to mystery shops.
I prefer Direct Deposit or Paypal. Checks are easier now since you can deposit via your phone.

Yeah, not everyone can deposit via their phonesad smiley

I'm with Irene, my first choice is always direct deposit, 2nd is Paypal. And I don't mind paper checks much. I don't work for gift cards, meals, or toys in lieu of payment.
I used to like direct deposit then paypal. I now think I prefer paypal then direct deposit. The reason for this is it is easier to keep track of payments received and update my records. Checks are still my last choice. Any payment works as I am getting paid these are just order of preferrance.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I prefer that the president of the company to make an appointment to see me in my town, personally thank me and pay in cold hard cash while buying me a meal at a restaurant of my choosing. Crisp bills only.

Oh... You wanted something realistic?
I don't really care as long as it makes it cleanly into my bank account.

I prefer paypal. All of my shopping goes in and out of my paypal account **eta and on the paypal business visa. If they are offering direct deposit or check as their only offering I'll take it and deposit it into the paypal account. I will absolutely work for tax-free reimbursements in the form of food, gift cards, oil changes, chiropractic visits, vitamins, casino slots & chips, hotel stays, toilet paper......

I love direct deposit. Paypal comes in second.

direct deposit is easier, and I use it with the MSCs that prefer it. But I do like Paypal too, just because like BuffaloNY101 mentioned, it is easy to keep track. My bank doesn't email me when a deposit is made to my account, Pay Pal does. And since I use Pay Pal for other services paying and buying, it's nice to have money deposited there. Transferring the money to the bk from there is no big deal.
Direct deposit first, as there is no waiting period. If they pay on the 10th, it's in my account on the 10th.

PayPal second. On one hand, it was nice to pay myself when I was shopping full time. The downside, there is a three day waiting period with my bank.

Checks are last because they get lost, or I don't record them. My bank records (ree-cords) the final total of the deposit. They don't show the individual checks.

Gift cards, freebies, and other forms of payment are a no no for me. I work for cash.

I prefer PayPal. I hate checks and I don't like giving my bank account information. All you need is one disgruntled employee.
I prefer "on time" in any form.

Lisa, crappy credit union has a separate app for remote deposit. Maybe your bank does as well.

I guarantee mine does not. It is a great local bank, but way behind the times when it comes to technology. After being excited when they finally got an app, it turned to disappointment because it had virtually no functionality, would not save my username and required my full password instead of allowing a PIN or Touch ID. Because my password has to be changed every three months, I just cannot keep track of it. If they would set it up so it would take characters instead of just numbers and letters, maybe we wouldn't need to change it constantly.

I prefer direct deposit into my bank. PayPal is second best. I have accounts in 3 major banks and 1 credit union. I opened accounts in 3 of the 4 in order to mystery shop them periodically. Banks do not charge a monthly fee if you have at least $500 monthly payroll direct deposit.
Direct deposit because my bank notifies me immediately.

For those leery of DD. A person needs a lot more than the routing number and account number to get access to take funds OUT of your account. Those two pieces of information are on every check that you write! So what's the big deal?

DD, paypal or check are fine. Although I can use the checks to cash at a branch for a teller shop.
My Bank (credit union) has three personal questions like Mothers maiden name, so I never have any problems, when I travel, I have to notify my bank if I'm using my debit card, and where I'll be, plus it is a secure account....I never worry about DD. Paypal has been free and never a problem with them....

And one of the checks i get says the msc name and mystery shopping services on it.
Direct deposit would always be my first choice because I hate that Paypal makes you wait a day, or more often a whole weekend to get your money. I prefer the gift certificates to a paper check for a few dollars. Gift certificates usually are immediate once you have enough points to redeem for one. I just received a $25 one for Walmart last week. What can't you find at Walmart? smiling smiley
In US funds, otherwise I prefer timeliness over form.
