This particular person has bones to pick with me ! I am ready to quit this MS and find another one. The company requires that I make contact with clients daily until I can set up appointments. Nowhere in the guidelines or tests does it say 24 hours. So if I call a contact at 9 am yesterday and then call them at 3 pm today that's a problem. They prompt me to call clients before the day is over which is annoying to me personally. So now that I am aware of the non-existent 24 hour rule, I abide by it. My favorite editor actually sent me a notice to call the contact after I already made the appointment and noted it in the system. It looked like this:
Frodo - Appointment has been set for 5/12 at 11 am.
$%&# - Frodo, please call the contact to make the appointment.
Frodo- $%&#, the appointment has been set, please see above notation.
She actually deleted her request ! I find that to be dishonest and it bothers me. The least she could have said is, sorry, I see it.
Today I had an appointment where the contact was a no show. I whip out my guidelines that state, wait 30 minutes, take pictures. So I called the contact, waited 30 minutes and took the pictures.
I submitted my report. $%&# emails me back - she has a few questions that are not asked in the report. Did I call the contact ? How long were you on site ? Why didn't you call the company ? Yes, I called the contact. I waited 30 minutes. The guidelines do not require me to call the company for a no show.
She then screenshots me what she called the guidelines/testing material which does indeed say call for no show and if I meet any resistance. Well, my guidelines don't say that. So I sent her a copy of what was attached to the assignment and have yet to hear back from her.
So what do you guys suggest when a company starts making up rules and guidelines they don't provide you with ? I feel like moving on.
