Where Are You Shopping Today?

What's a grocery-to-go?

Honny,
Not sure if this is the same experience as oteixeira's, but I did a shop like that. It went like this. I went online and placed my grocery order. The MSC reimbursed up to $40, which included the $4.95 fee the grocery store charges to pick the groceries...so basically $35 in reimbursed food. I had to select from Produce, Dairy, Meat and Sausage Works. Then I could pick whatever else I wanted to come up to the reimbursed amount (or go over, if I wanted to, which I never want to!!). Then I picked a time to go get my groceries through the drive up area. The grocery store would then contact me through text or phone to let me know the order was ready. When I got there, I had to time how long it took for someone to come out, how long it took to get my groceries, if the employee followed the protocol, which included having me pay for my groceries before they loaded them into my car. Then I had to report whether or not any errors occurred in my groceries. The few times I did this, there were a couple of errors, so I hope my reporting helped fix that. In addition to the $40 reimbursement fee, the MSC also paid a $10 Shopper fee for it. I really enjoyed this shop. HOWEVER, the ONLY downside I found is that, depending on when during the month this shop was done, it would take UP TO 10 weeks to get paid/reimbursed. But I haven't seen this on the job board in a couple of months, so maybe this aspect of their grocery mystery shopping is over, since they still have the regular in-store mystery shopping.

Today's apartment shop isn't happening. I'm doing a cell shop near 5 guys and I'll find a bank shop.

I was contacted yesterday about doing a grocery shop TODAY ONLY, with an added PAD of $20.00!! The store is about 13 miles away, and must be done today because someone flaked. So I grabbed it and will be doing it a bit later on today. WOO-HOO!!
@HonnyBrown They have a worker that shops for you, you order it on your computer and pay in advance. You then show up, go through what I can only describe as a fast-food style pull in area and they bring your food out to you.

This sounds similar to the one I did, except that I didn't pay online. I paid when I arrived to the pull-in area. The employee was supposed to take my payment BEFORE loading the groceries. The 3 times I've done this, I got my groceries loaded twice before having to pay for them. So apparently a different company. And with the MSC I did, there is a 60 day rotation, although I seem to remembering somewhere that it may have gone to a 90 day rotation...I'll have to go back and look that up. There is an app on Field Agent that has something like this, but I didn't do mine through FA.
I read yours and can guarantee you its the same store (sausageworks gave it away). They no longer require a purchase from the sausage area, the other three still do. You are allowed to pay there or online, they don't care which you do. I honestly don't know the rotation, since I did this just one time. Also, this is the same grocery store I refuse to do the normal shop for because of all of the purchase requirements and having to interact with basically every single station they have in the store.

LOL! I wondered if anyone would know what that meant! Yes, now that I think about it, there was an option to pay ahead of time. And I agree, the requirements for their regular shops are quite involved! I remember when the fee was $15 and the reimbursement was $13. I did a few more back then. Now, it's $13/$13, and I don't care for that because it is so involved. I was offered a $5 bonus a few months ago on one location near me, so I did that one.
I was scheduled to do a Dead Sea products kiosk store. Got all pumped up to handle the aggressive salespeople, but when I got to the store the kiosk was unmanned. Took the required photos, waited around for a while, left to do another store in the mall, then stopped back by the kiosk when I was done. Just to be safe made a bathroom trip and checked one more time. No one was ever there. After waiting the required 35 minutes I left.

@guysmom, that shop is so invasive with work and what you have to buy that I once did it for a $30 plus $13 reimburse and STILL spent more then I made. At our stores they don't sell an individual sausage, so you end up buying a pack that is at least 13 dollars, then you add a purchase of meat, a purchase from deli, and all of the interactions, totally not worth it. I really like the retailer, and the MSC as well. When they asked if I could do the same store for the same cost I explained that it just wasn't worth it. They said they had heard the same from others, and would tell the retailer my thoughts on it. Great people all around, but just not a great shop. What can you do....

@otexeira, that's a bummer! At the two stores I have shopped, there is a sausage works, and I usually by half a pound of something, so that comes in at $2.00 or less, depending if there is a sale or not.

My shop today was just one grocery store with that $20 PAD, which is rare but much appreciated!!!
Just picked up a grocery to go shop for this weekend - @guysmom, @otexeira. I wondered which grocery store it was also until I saw sausageworks. I also won't do the regular shop, eight areas to evaluate plus the cashier is just overkill for the fee. I'll occasionally pick up one nearby that is a legacy store shop.

I have to go out of town for work Monday at the last minute so signed up for a restaurant at my departing airport coming home and a couple shops at my home airport.
A lovely mortgage shop with large bonus and an easy, peasy bank shop at $25. I am trying to glide to the close of a very stressful month where just about every shop has needed to be rescheduled due to weather, street closures (due to huge rallies/demonstrations) and/or short term health issues!

Tonight is a new to me restaurant. The parent company is Texas Roadhouse and the report is nearly identical
Two back to back sunny resort shops for two different MSCs. Surprisingly, neither of them is for Coyle.

I would love to try a grocery to go shop...I'm curious about the concept and want to try it, but really like the idea of getting reimbursed to try it!

Best of luck, they fly off the board in less then a day in my area, so keep an eye out.

I woke up sick so was planning on staying in bed, but at 10 am I received an email assigning me to a famous high end jewelry store for today. I had requested the assignment a couple weeks ago. Out of bed for me. I hope to be able to catch a nap this afternoon because I have a late night bar shop tonight that starts at 10 pm. I'm not 21 anymore!
Did a Bank today and put in correct code for job, but keep getting a red flag telling me to input code. Wrote to Scheduler and hope to hear back soon...long report, good pay, stupid problem, as I wrote down code 5 times and know it's right, tried lower case upper case.......got return email, all's good, love Informa, they answer immediately..."winking smiley

I did an AARP auto insurance shop today. I was mentally ready to switch all of my insurance over to AARP because they have such good discounts. They were triple what I pay with my current insurer. That was a real eye opener.
