Where Are You Shopping Today?

We all know you meant that comment in a snarky manner. And it seems you are the only one who has a problem with recipes or food comments being posted here. AND it wasn't even a recipe, just a mention of some ingredients that were going to be used to make something. A recipe would have preparation instructions as well.

Today is the Habit, trying something new, any idea's? No recipes here, no oh no......,no changing the thread, new rule...sad smiley

We don't have that restaurant near me, what's the main theme? Do they have an online menu you can look at?

I never saw any rules saying we couldn't talk about food whenever we like. I am looking at the blue box as I type and it says to add a positive contribution to the community. Food is nourishment for the body and soul, so that's a positive contribution, right?
Jas, the restaurant is a good burger place with salads and a few different selections, it's a great company, not sure if their in your location, they are growing just opened one in Vegas, and are in Texas.

However, I read a long post of bible psalms on a thread, we do not talk about religion, being respectful to everyone's personal faith, a sharing of a food enjoyed seems to appeal to most. Seems the "complainer"
is only interested in what her preferences are, maybe not food but religion, books and critters.

I had seen others post about The Habit before but couldn't remember what they served. I am certain that they are not in my part of Ohio. Not sure about the rest of the state. I will have to be on the lookout when I travel.
Honny,
Please let me know your opinion of the Air Fryer. And if you hate it, I just might want to consider buying it.

I was in the newer improved Kohl's before job and they had a variety of Air Fryers, seems to be the new thing. With an account you get either 15,20 or 30% off coupons in the mail, really helps especially if things are on sale anyway. Have gotten some great buys thru the years.

Thanks for sharing, Irene. My upcoming assignments include one shop and one merch task. Several weeks later, there will be more merch. Now, it is time to return to the General Chat board and look for recipes. Kudos to the person who provided a central place for recipes. This was thoughtful. I appreciate them.

Today I had 2 HP Ink Audits, and oh my word!! I ALMOST goofed!! Actually, I DID goof, but discovered it in time! I had one CVS and one Walgreens. I went to the WRONG CVS and did the whole shop, and when I got to the car, I thought, Wait a minute....the receipt is supposed to have a 6 in the address, this one doesn't. OH NO! I went to the wrong one!! Fortunately, the correct one was down the same road about 2 miles away, also on the same road as the Walgreens. And, I won't be reimbursed for my $1.00 purchase, but that's OK, because the wrong CVS I went to has this $1.00 section, and I got a real nice olive-green dish towel for a buck! And then I went to the Walgreens and then to the CORRECT CVS!! So it all turned out well....but....it's not only newbies who can mess up, or almost-mess-up!!
@HonnyBrown I use my air fryer every day for everything from heating up pizza to cooking a whole meal. I hope you enjoy it!

What's wrong with sidetracking to food and recipes?

I have some marble sized green tomatoes on my plants. When they get big enough, I'm going to make fried green tomatoes in the air fryer. That will be my first dish. The meat will be a pork schnitzel from Aldi. It's already breaded.

I use my air fryer for sweet and regular potato fries. I also use it for making savory bread rolls with potato filling that I normally used to fry. You could also make mini pizzas or fritters.

Edited to add : Several phone shops plus a nicely bonused gift card shop at the mall.

Today I will go back to a garage that I visited about 10 days ago. After what I reported, the client has ordered three more shops, one (mine today) with video. What was the issue? At the entrance there was a sign, "Credit cards only; NO CASH." At the exit someone had used black tape to cover that part of the sign and an attendant was collecting cash fees. He had even thoughtfully supplied himself with cash to make change.

Then, home to participate in the third, and final, one hour focus group of shoppers that have done 12 different bank locations, using the same scenario. Upper management will listen in as the MSC project manager moderates and poses questions to us all. These have been interesting and pay well, but with members of the group spread across 4 time zones the 1-2 PM east coast times wreck havoc with my MS day-route scheduling. It will be interesting to see how the client might change the scenarios and/or survey questions when the new rounds of these shops start in about 45 days.

Let me ask you this: why, in the past, has it been wrong for some posters to go off-topic and now, you suggest that it should not be wrong for you to go off-topic? Is there an unwritten rule? Are some of us just chopped livuh, or something?

So that sparks an idea. Why are there no liver an onion shops? The last place I knew of that served liver and onions closed some time ago. For reasons unrelated to liver and onions. But still. I would shop for that. Especially if the reimbursement covered the bacon...

WOW, Wales!! Hope this person gets the heave-ho as a result of your video shop!!
guysmom,
He did it on camera this time. What I fail to understand is how management has missed the fact that fees collected and tickets issued for parking have not been matching up. Maybe some level of management is in on it ???? Speculation only, but it would not be the first time, by a long shot, in that industry.

Urbane Cafe. Like so many others, their prices have gone up over the years I have done them but the reimbursement remains the same. I still enjoy the sandwich and can get under the reimbursement by carefully choosing what I order. Their soups are also good but way to expensive when you substitute them for the side salad.

I do the one in Stevenson Ranch over and over, didn't take it this month, although I enjoy the sandwich's, I notice the higher prices, I just like the sandwich's, too hot for soup and not a fan of the small salads...there are only a few and it is a good lunch stop..enjoy.

So I just completed my last known mystery shop. For whatever reason, the report showed as saved but no information was saved. This happened four? five? six? times with the phone and a computer. I completed the equivalent of four or more reports for the price of one and spent so much time on this that I missed another work opportunity. *Pffffffffffffffffffffffft*

The good news is, tomorrow is fishing day.

The suggestion is: when this happens, should shoppers receive extra pay for unanticipated pain-in-the-arseness; increasing and colossal irritation; costly loss of other opportunity; etc.?

No, fee's must be written in stone before doing job, can't negotiate after the fact, doesn't make sense. Getting into a situation like above is costly and a learning lesson.

No ms work, finished but, painters coming, made extra key for lock box, New reality in town charging 2%, interesting with everything done online and are partners with Zillow.....hoping for the best, lots of work.
Thoughts are moving to FIJI and enjoying the beach boys, reality is hoping to help daughter buy a nice house and (maybe) giving Mom a room......huge move.

Their system failed and I eat the cost of that. It's unpalatable.

@Irene_L.A. You can cook just about anything in that air fryer. I use it all the time. It's perfect for me because it's just me during the week and just my boyfriend and I on the weekends. You can whip something up in half the time and it works wonders on leftovers. I don't have a microwave in my house and the air fryer put it to shame when my roomate had one. The one I have, you don't have to add oil at all, but I usually put a little coconut or olive oil spray on either side just for flavor, moisture. It's amazing, really.

@HonnyBrown fried green tomatoes sound awesome in any way you cook them. I love that pork schnitzel from Aldi. I lived in Germany for 6 years and it is the closest I've found to "authentic" without doing myself.
