I did a Ross and a bonused 5 Guys shop today. Ross was super quick and easy and 5 Guys..ughhh, the food was just awful. As a seasonal area, you expect things to be almost perfect in the off season, but they have been slacking A LOT.

On my ways home from Oahu. The bundle of shops I picked up on the way and on the way back (what I’m finishing today) paid for my flight, car rental, parking at the airport and I have enough in fees that broke me even with a little profit leftover from all food, beverage, tourist, gift, etc. expenses during the trip.
Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
WaWa and some app shops.

I am going to do a grocery store merchandising visit, a Dunkin Donuts, and 5 convenience stores (more if I beat the snow that's moving in).
For today I have a regional burger place that is for take-out, so quick and easy. Two grocery stores and a furniture store are the only other shops for today. I'm in lazy mode. ;-)
I have been doing the first set of video shops at a client whose local garages have not been shopped before. Today, on the last of them, I got video of a new (to me) way of diverting funds. Made me wonder how many similar cases I (and other shoppers ?) may have previously missed. I almost missed the proof of apparent fraud this time. And, it was not one that any of the training had ever mentioned. . And, I have done, literally, 1000s of these in the last 5-6 years. Have alerted the MSC to add this MO to the training manual. Now, I expect to lie awake trying to figure out how it was accomplished.

Wales, I used to be a business manager for a parking company in Philadelphia. The way that the guys and gals learned how to work the system with a new trick every day just amazed me. If only they would use their powers for good.

In N Out Burger. Less than one half the cost of Five Guys. Just as good, only no peanuts. No one wonder they are so crowded and Five Guys is not.
I did a second visit to the high-end perfumery. The target left work early on my first attempt, so he wasn't there (and I still got paid)... The MSC asked me to go again, so I was able to catch him today; One bonused shop turns into two! Now, my jacket smells of expensive perfume.

That is why parking management companies have turned away from MSCs that only observed how polite the attendants were to MSCs that are run by former attendants and parking managers. The cash integrity-based MSCs have growing because they find the "leakages".
That said, I also have a lot of respect for the many, many attendants who work two jobs to make ends meet and have not a whiff of such "issues."

wales, I used to work at a hospital in LA that reimbursed us for parking. One of the attendants made polite small talk while giving me the wrong change. I got my money back the next morning from the manager. When I left that day, I told the creep not to scam his customers.

This is a #$%^ of a lot more cash disappearing than short-changing the customer. The really organized cash diversion schemes charge the customer the right amount and return correct change. But, the garage management company loses thousands of $$$ a month. Sometimes, they were losing hundreds of dollars a day.

Well, the MSC that does the HAZMAT shops had one listed at an office supply store in my town that is NO LONGER THERE!! As a matter of fact, what WAS once that office supply store is NOW my go-to store to buy my dog's pet food! I'm there once a week like clockwork!! SO.....I emailed the scheduler and let her know, and she set it up for me to do as a closed shop, for the $6.00 fee. All I had to do was snap a couple of photos, and when I got home, answer "NO" to everything with a brief comment, and upload the photos. So that was an easy six bucks for 5 minutes of work, to be somewhere I was going to be anyway!
