PAY PAL: Difficulties when attempting to withdraw money???

Anybody else experiencing problems when attempting to withdraw PayPal money??

Requesting a refund check used to be simple, now they make you jump through all of these hoops with verifying home address information which they already have on file. Same with transfering money to my checking account, I gave them my bank routing number and checking account number, and still the system locks up with goofy messages. Left an email message with their help dept.

Anybody know why Amazon and other sellers won't accept PayPal payments??

I did a withdraw/transfer last night with no problem. I tried again just now, and am able to transfer. I haven't requested a check, but it appears doable.
Has your checking account been verified? If not then there may be some problems experienced. Once it is verified, the transaction take place rather fast and with little or no problems.
The main reason Amazon will not take PayPal, if in fact they don't is that Amazon has set up a pay system similar to PayPal and they would want to convince people to use their system. I signed up over the weekend.
PayPal sucks (and so does eBay). Neither PayPal nor eBay has any real competition, and until they do, we're stuck with them. Good luck jumping through hoops, but don't worry - they'll keep charging more to do less for you.
I just called their help line 888-221-1161 and they will verify my bank account allowing me the refund check thereafter.

BUT up until now, it was not this cumbersomea process . However, if it's done for security purposes, then I applaud it.
I moved money off to my bank yesterday with no issues. I don't understand the "refund check" thing, though. I simply withdraw MS payments via transfer to my bank. The only "refunds" have been eBay transactions where the transaction has NOT been as advertised andy they refunded me some or all of my payment. Never had a problem with those, but it has been a couple of years since I had that kind of issue.
I got a paypal debit card a year or so ago & like it just fine. I can easily use it at a retailer & request cash back for no additional charge.

I also get 1% back every time I use it as a credit card instead of a debit card. It's not much, but every little bit helps.

Prior to that, I never had any problems transferring to & from my bank account, though.
no problem at all..have you double check your account number that you provide?you might have missed one or something..

Talk about a royal pain in the A**. I have never tried to work with a company that goes so far out of the way to spit on its own customers. I have had nothing but problems with PayPal, to the point I will no longer take on companies or projects who limit payment processing through PayPal. Trying to work out their issues with the Resolution Center is draconian. Never have I seen such a bigger group of pompous asses than PayPal reps. They have had less than $50.00 of my money tied up for months over a non-issue. I have finally told them to take the remaining balance and shove it, I was finished trying to deal with punch card idiots. It would be a great deal if it worked, but my experience is they are nothing more than a group of self centered internet shysters.
The majority of MS co's pay via pay pal. It is time to deal. The reps ae mostly in India. But still, demand fairness.

Wes229,

PayPal's live person who assisted me was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Sounded like an American I was speaking with, not somebody from overseas thankfully.
I have worked with Paypal for over 20 years and one of the factors in the selection of MSCs I work with is their ability to pay me through Paypal. They have become my business bank and provide me with a pretty accurate record of payments from MSCs. The Paypal Debit Card works extremely well when I need funds quickly, otherwise the four-day transfer is ideal. Frankly, they are better than many of the banks we use.

I have a separate account on Paypal set up just for mystery shopping, it helps me keep track of my earnings. They can be a big pain in the arse sometimes though. It all depends on who you get on the phone. Some of the reps will read from a script and some will actually be helpful. Dealing with eBay issues with Paypal however is a nightmare, more often than not. I immediately withdraw my money to my banking account as soon as the pay comes in. I have heard of more than one instance where Paypal had a hold on someone money.

Forgive my grammar and spelling on the boards. I am off duty.
I have no beef with paypal and I've been using them for 10 years, but it is dangerous to use. Three years ago they saved me from losing 3000 dollars. Turned out someone got access to my paypal account, added a bank account and tried transfering 3000 dollars to it. They had already initiated the transfer but I got a call from a Paypal rep to ask me if I was the one initiating the transfer. I said no and they canceled the transfer, deleted the new bank account and blocked access to the account for a few days. I was then advised to change my password and buy a security pin key and ever since then I have had no problems with someone else stealing my password. I no longer keep thousands of dollars in there though.
I have had PP for about 10 years. I have never had a problem. I just transferred some money to my bank a few days ago no problem. Actually it was in my bank a day sooner then expected. Just this morning I got another payment and transferred it to my bank, it should be available in a few days. I just had to click on the transfer button, and then type in the amount I wanted transferred, then confirm. No hoops.

It is a good idea not to keep too much money in there though, and to change your pw on a regular basis. Also don't use the same pw as you use to login other places (like MSC).
I've never had a problem with Paypal. I rather like using it, but it does take a few days to transfer funds to the checking account. That seems like an anomaly in this day of electronic transfer!
The real problem I have with Paypal is the MSP's use of it. They rarely put the shop date, shop number, or other reference information in their little information comment. Matching up the payment with a shop (or several when they batch them together with one payment) is a pain in the neck. I'm automated heavily here, and it really pains me to go searching for jobs and trying to match up payments with completed shops.
I like the fact that if I pay for something on Paypal and I don't have enough funds in there to cover the amount they automatically transfer funds from my checking account to Paypal to cover it.
