PS, they could give a rat's arse about your total interaction with Associates, only the circumstance upon which their product was "sold" to you, as a customer. Not understanding the shop itself really freaks me out about so-called shoppers. But, as a grown person who doesn't know how to say "Whoa, that was awkward" along with that certain look it takes to get the point across and having to ask a "mommy" on a forum what to do about it says you absolutely need someone to help you get that hair out of your face! You should go back to the store and thank her for helping you to better understand the world.

It's this kind of nonsense that the OP was taking offense to I am sure, and I can see why.

I'll go look up the word doozies.

Doozie is short for Duesenberg. Duesenberg was a very expensive pre-Depression luxury car that very few could afford. It was several steps above a Cadillac, maybe along the lines of what Bentley is now, or Rolls was 20 years ago. It was basically considered to be the nicest car available. So it became synonymous with something really nice.

On a side note, Duesenberg was part of Cord (along with Auburn). Cord was a fantastic marketer. When he started at Auburn they pretty much produced only black cars. He had them all sent back to the factory where he had them repainted in other colors, because he realized when couples were coming in to buy cars, the husbands were interested in the mechanics but the women were interested in what color the cars were. After the cars were sent back out repainted their sales skyrocketed. Auburn also made what I consider to be the most beautiful vehicle ever produced. The 1931 Auburn Boattail Speedster.

Unfortunately the cars from all 3 brands (Auburn, Duesenberg, and Cord) were very expensive, and the company went bankrupt before the end of the Depression.

Ok, so I might be a bit of a car nerd.

Edited to add the post I was replying to since like 87 people cross posted while I was writing that.

If you just want opinions that agree with your own then why are you asking? Just report her for moving your hair out of your face; report her to her direct supervisor at Home Depot and to the Department Manager at Home Depot and to the Manager at Home Depot. Imagine that conversation. Report her to the mystery shopping company also. If you feel like you've been affronted by someone then you should report them to someone, especially if you can't bring yourself to report them to themselves! Get some help. Who knows, the hair brushing this time could become an assault next time. And just imagine the other customers who she's been brushing their hair out of their face, you could help them too and future non-compliant receivers of hair brushing!

eta: And report me to this forum for informing you of all of the things that you don't know about this assignment, the client, the hapless retailer and life's important issues! And I will report myself for handing you this valuable mystery shopping and life skills information on a silver platter and not charging you a fee and a bonus.

You just don't quit do you? I have no problem with people disagreeing with me, it happens all the time and I roll with it. I rarely take offense at things people say to me. I've worked both retail and phone customer service I've heard it all. Sticks and stones and all that. But you have gone beyond even my generous limits for what I'll take in verbal abuse. Reread some of your posts particularly the one Jasflalmt quoted above. If that is not a vicious personal attack for no good reason, I don't know what is.
This is the last time I will respond to you because you are not worth it. You need to do some serious self-examining before thinking about responding on this board again beyond anything general.

And yes, I will be reporting your last post. Deal with it.

Too bad there was no narrative box for you to report it. I wouldn't have slapped the hand, but I would have leaned back. I'm not used to being touched when I don't know the person. You are probably not the only one that's been made uncomfortable by such behavior, even though it appears she meant no harm.
I would not be offended in the least, and I'm not a male.

And just like dust, I will rise.
