How Do You Handle Targeted Phone Shops?

I was wondering how you handle targeted phone shops for customer service? I called one client for a targeted shop and asked for the target but the person who answered was great and kept trying to just do her job. I'm going to wait to call back so it doesn't look strange but how do you handle targeted shops when someone else answers the phone?

Have a household member or friend call, engage the other person, and then call right back. It's good when a target is dodging you.

I don't do targeted shops any more unless the bonus is YUGE.

Having someone else call to get the target's schedule helps. I try to have a guy friend make the call so if they suspect a mystery shop they will be looking for a man.
