Texas Roadhouse shop

I read post from many years ago and this shop now reimburses only $25.00 but the older posts are for $35.00. Has anyone did the Texas Roadhouse recently and got more than $25.00? How hard are the shops. I don't like sitting at the bar but what are they looking for that you can't seat at a table?

Thanks

There have always been TWO Texas Roadhouse shops, there are still two different shops, and they both still pay the same thing. The bar shop, which requires you to sit at the bar, pays $25. The dining shop pays $35 and requires you to sit in the dining area. The dining and the bar shops are both easy. The instructions for both shops explain exactly what they are looking for.
Thanks for the clarification. A new one just recently opened up last month and I see this job daily. I am wondering why no one is picking it up. I want to go there first as a paying guest before I take the Mystery Shop challenge.
You can't interact with the bartender if you are seated at a table.

IMO it's a fairly straightforward shop. Just follow the shop instructions. You will get a decent meal out of it
and most likely some leftovers. Nothing tricky about the reporting.

I wish I knew which MSC offered this shop. I love to eat there. In fact we're going tonight. Can someone private message me and tell me please?

It's a violation to name the client and the mystery shopping company, We are not able to tell you either in the public forum or via private message. Keep signing up for companies, you should find it.

ICAs cover any type of communication.

Ok then any suggestions for how I can find out?

Register with more companies. The MSC is one most shoppers ought to be with by the time they are hitting 40 or 50. In other words, it is not an obscure company with shops only in limited areas.

You asked us the same question back in May about the same restaurant. Several posters explained to you and made suggestions. My suggestion would be to stop asking for others to violate their ICAs. [www.mysteryshopforum.com]
The dine in requires at least two persons. The bar can be done alone. Plus, if you drink, you can do the bar while the early dinner specials are available and fit everything under the reimbursement. My only issue is the minimum time is kind of long for the bar scenario.

I've done one Texas Roadhouse shop and I loved it. The only thing I don't like about them is that there is a 90 day turn around. Wish I could do them once a month!
We're fortunate @Donna5783, we have 3 locations within 10 miles, and 3 more if we go out 15-20 miles. so the 90 day rotation works just fine. Usually there at least once a month. Love these shops, but they sure fly off the board.

Well EXCUSEEEEEEEEE ME!!!! I don't remember asking back in May. I could be wrong but I honestly don't remember. Next time I'll just muddle along.
Thank you Lisa for a practical suggestion. I'm trying to sign up for more MSC's but I don't want to go too crazy with it as I'm not planning on doing this full time. I find it a pain in the neck to sign up and then find out they either have very little in my area or nothing really of interest. I have signed up for several and have been disappointed. I will probably just have to go in and deactivate these. Oh well live and learn.

If you click the link in my post that you quoted, you can read where you asked and the ICA was explained. Since you've forgotten, it's good that I'm able to post the link so you can read it again.
I apologize. You're right and I'm wrong. It was probably one of my very first posts on this forum so I didn't remember. I will not make this mistake again. I probably didn't know enough about how to check back on responses to see what other's said either.

Don't deactivate yourself from MSCs! You never know when they'll get the contact for a store in your area. Instead, use your time to sign up for even more.

I have done this shop several times. The bar gets crowded and people tend to sit there A LONG time - sometimes hours. It can be difficult to get a seat. It's a dead giveaway when the host/hostess suggests sitting in the dining room, but I insist on standing by the bar to grab the first available seat. Twice, my guest and I could not sit together. Not really a fun shop for two people.
Dandydew - It is for that reason I avoid bar shops. Although I did one recently for a different MSC and was able to get 2 seats at the bar from people who were leaving as I arrived. I guess you can always go to the bar after dinner too.
For the bar shop, I highly recommend arriving just after 5pm, especially if you are with a guest. I prefer to perform the bar scenario by myslef. Also, Friday's are the worst day (in most areas) to visit this client as that is the most popular evening.

@7star, the bar scenario is a dine at the bar experience. Best to not make recommendations unless you are familiar with the guidelines.

I stand corrected. I meant to say I stay away from bar shops in general because it's hard to get a seat. If I had a choice between dinner at bar, bar w dinner at table or dinner only, the choice will always be dinner only unless I know the bar is going to be open. I know TR has dinner at bar and dinner only.

Don't deactivate. Just because they don't have anything for you in your area right now or maybe the shops don't pay enough doesn't mean that those companies won't pay off in the future. I remember when I first signed up 17 years ago running into that issue, but then several years later some of those companies contacted me with great shops. Also, the company in question is in the list of official companies (link below). I will give you one clue that really won't help much: it is NOT in the 15 most discussed companies list.

Thanks eyelove2shop, I think I found it.

Just to add more to the drama, there is another MSC that does the TR. I don't know if that was regional, but it showed up in the last two months in my area. Sassymmm, and any newbies, just keep signing up with more MSC. You never know what some MSC shops will get in the future. When I started out, there were about 3 MSC that were my favorite because of the type of shops they offered. Now those 3 MSC offered totally different type of shops that doesn't interest me to do.
Just scored my first TR shop today!!!! Can't wait to do it. There were some available a couple of days ago but I was going to be gone during the dates. But we'll be back for the new dates. Very happy to have finally figured out which company did them.

You will like them. It is seriously one of the best shops. And super easy reports.
