Sassie down for maintenance! Couldn't save my work.

I was about three quarters done with a long and narrative filled report for Service Check when I went to save it so it wouldn't time our. I then got a message that Sassie was down for maintenance. I tried to go back in my browser but only got the same message. It looks like my report is lost. I know some of you are going to say I should have written the narratives in Word but in all the years working with Sassie this never happened before. I have always been able to save the unfinished report. Bummer.

you should have written the narratives in Word.

i'll show myself out, thank you.
Maybe I can help someone else tonight. Be careful if your doing a Sassie report right now.

Close. I'm having a glass of wine right now.
My suggestion would be different. Save in Sassie more often. Good advice for doing ANY kind of report. Sorry that it happened to you though. I didn't see any kind of notification by Sassie that this was going to happen. They should have sent some kind of notice so people would know not to be doing reports then.

What's done is done. An egg cracked cannot be cured.
There are 3 kinds of lies. Lies, Damn lies, and statistics.
I also ran into this problem, but THANK GOODNESS I had saved everything written and had tried to log on my tablet just to upload the pictures. My narratives should be fine. But I am worried that I'm not going to make the deadline for reporting. What happens now? Just complete asap and email someone? Thoughts welcome.

Ken, perhaps if you clicked SAVE you might be okay? It's possible all reports (yours and mine both) were saved but we just can't log back in, I guess we'll see.
i'd notify the scheduler explaining the sudden maintenance issue w/no advance warning & complete the report(s) when convenient & not stay up all night or alter plans that you've made.

&%i@# happens
Has anyone heard how long Sassie might be down for? Or is it just a guessing game? I've only been mystery shopping for a few months and this is the first time I've ran into this problem.
That would be swell parkcitybrian, except all the links take you to Sassie. I currently have 4 tabs saying "We're down for maintenance." Even from my shoppers log.
definitely suggest everyone/anyone take a screenshot of the message for verification purposes, tho
Sassie is down for me, too. I have a report due in a few hours from a shop I completed late this evening. I emailed the scheduler and requested they make my report due date later, so that I can submit. I asked if they knew how long the site would be done, but haven't received a response. I guess I will be putting all my narratives in a word processing program and saving for later. Hoping my shop will still be valid. Best of luck on all of yours!
Nothing was saved so I had to redo the whole report. Hopefully, after my glass of wine, it was as good as the original report.
If something like this happens again, try the following:

DON'T CLOSE THE BROWSER WINDOW/TAB where you had been working on your report. DON'T DO ANYTHING MORE (such as trying to navigate back or using the same tab to visit other sites). It is OK if you had already tried going back to the previous page. WHAT'S DONE IS DONE. JUST LEAVE IT ALONE NOW.

DON'T TURN OFF OR RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.

Open another browser window/tab if you need to do other things, such as periodically checking to see if SASSIE is back up.

When SASSIE is finally working, use a NEW WINDOW/TAB to log in to that company's SASSIE.

ONLY AFTER YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY LOGGED IN, go to the window/tab where you had been working on the report and try to GO BACK. DO NOT JUST RELOAD THE PAGE.

I have often been able to revive my report this way. Usually, the need arises because I was automatically logged out of SASSIE after more than 30 minutes of inactivity.
I thought OP said he tried that ^^ and it didn't work. I don't write in Word first, either. I've gotten into the habit of copying my narrative onto the clipboard before I save just in case the situation OP described happens.

I thought OP tried to go back while SASSIE was still down. Where did he say he had kept the old tab open and tried to go back after SASSIE came back on and he logged in? If he had simply logged back in and then tried to open the report in a new window/tab, it won't work.
