I know we are not allowed to watch the show after 11 PM but am I allowed to watch the one starts at 10:30 PM and finish around 12?

You need to ask your scheduler.

It should be fine if it starts before 11. Agree with asking the scheduler but I have done the 10:30-10:45 start times recently.

Yep. I've done that a couple of times Re; 10:30 shows.

They want to be sure we will be there when concessions are open.

I finally snatched the location I wanted. Boy, when they say be careful what you wish for. These reports are long and the shop requirements are tedious. One and done for me. How does anyone enjoy the movie with the required observations ?

Are you serious? Is there a different company that does these that maybe has a more demanding report? I find the Regal shops to have the easiest report ever! I enter 45 minutes before the show and I make all the observations necessary in 10 minute, before entering the auditorium 35 minutes before the show. Only a patron count remains and I do that as they enter. This is pretty much completed before the show starts. If a few stragglers enter after the show starts, it's easy to add them. Everything is done before the movie starts. Of course, if you go at a time when the theater is really busy, it's a little harder because you will deal with lines and with a larger number of attendees.

Because they're simple to some of us and cover more than enough for a date with some concessions.

I've only done 1, when I first started 4 years ago. I don't think I started 45 minutes early but all of the required observations were done and I was still in theater before the first patron. If I'm not mistaken it required 2 concessions visits? I did one before. Did the second after the movie was over for a drink to take home with me.

It requires you to get a manager's name and count how many people enter. That's really hard to do when people are entering and exiting the theatre, going to get snacks and/or restroom breaks. There was no manager on duty Plus there are over 80 questions. I've done bar integrity shops for AMC and it's super simply with 20 questions and one small sentence. I've also done cash integrity shops for another movie chain that had less about 25 questions

These aren't cash integrity shops though. They're service shops. Two different beasts. As for getting the manager's name, the manager walked past me so quickly I couldn't possibly read her name tag. I gave a great description and stated why I couldn't get her name. Perhaps if you're standing around the whole time trying to find the manager? I didn't do that. As for the count. Be the first person in (don't forget to count yourself). Then just keep a running total of the number of people in the theater. If 5 people come in after you there are 6, if one leaves there's 5, 4 more come in there's 9, 2 leave there's 7. There's no need to keep up with who the people are, just add and subtract. It's easier if you sit high and in the middle so you can see both sides. Whatever the highest number you got to 15 minutes in (or is it 5?) is the number.

You're just thinking about it too much... You can hypothetically get that report finished minus a couple questions before the movie even starts....

No manager? No manager reported.

There's a manager but can't get a name? Describe the manager and state why you couldn't get the name.

Oh, I won't be spending too much time. It just wasn't what I expected considering I've done movie shops for three other msc companies before that were less complicated. And I guess location matters, this particular location people were entering during the various points of the movie. It's very easy to count people if they enter before the movie starts and take their seats like regular normal people. There really should be a rule abouting allowing late people in, it's so disruptive to the movie.

Oh, the other annoying thing was having to call the theater to verify the movie listings. All that for $5. No thanks. I'll stick to the others that pay $15, $10 and $8 with less requirements. Plus you can't use rewards boo!

The instructions when I did this shop stated to stop counting either 5 or 15 minutes after the start. You don't have to count all the way through the movie.

My shop instructions did not state a timeframe for counting patrons entering/exiting the theatre. Instead, it stated the count must be accurate because it is used to compare to the tickets sold.

FYI the same MSP has another theater chain that has a much longer report form. The Regal ones are generally easy unless you get a day when its slammed.

If the manager on duty is not close enough to read their name tag, then simply say so with a good description that person. If your theater has recliner reserved seats, then you need to buy your ticket early, as the lines are slow when patrons cannot decide which seat to reserve. Make certain you obtain a concession receipt which is easy to forget. This shop is really simple and worth it for the fee, free flick and concession stuff...

AMC: Are they ever returning to regular shops?? They only have the buy the ticket with a minor shops right now..

They also do bar shops, but you have to be under 30 around here. I get the feeling they will not do regular shops anymore.

I find these shops very simple. I think that if you are going to see a movie at 10:30 then make sure you do all of your observations before the movie. There was an occasion when I got out of a 7 o'clock movie around 10 p.m. and they had already turned off all of the arcade games so it was difficult to comment on if they were all in working condition.
