I signed up for 2 jewelry shops - not knowing that in both shops I need to pose as a *diamond ring* buyer. I just thought it would be jewelry in general!

Uh, 30's female here. Not the typical diamond ring buyer. Right?

I need to come up with a scenario that I can pull off. I'm not married and never have been. Would it seem weird for a woman to be shopping for her engagement ring by herself? What about if it was a replacement ring for a married woman?

I know that my dad had given my mom money to buy her ring. They got divorced when I was 5, lol.

I don't think I'll ever sign up for these shops again. Sigh.
