I got that same email as well. Yes, it is in Vegas but it's in the form of a conference call so we don't need to travel to Vegas to be a part of it. I'm debating whether I should take part or not. It would be good to expand my possible shops since I'm on some major time constraints and frequently have to turn down available shops but I'm still very new at this so I'm not sure I should be expanding into video shops just yet.

From what I hear the number of companies using cell phone videos, specially in retail settings, restaurants, etc. is growing exponentially. I have seen past presentations on this at earlier IMSC conferences and know that the IMSC has a special relationship with the MSCs that seem to be leading this effort. If I weren't going to LV, where I know there will be a big session on this, I would definitely do the conference call. I also have a hunch that if you do the call you may decide to go to LV for a more intense, in-person training on this. It is way kooool and may help those not interested in other video formats to ramp up their game. Why not do the free session and see what you think.

I have decided to keep an open mind about this move in terms of expanded cell phone video, but am also keeping my PV-500 kits close to me, lol.

I've done a handful of shops where they allowed video from my phone with detailed video specifications.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!

It really does take some time to master the use of the cell phone for video so that the quality is high and the shopper is not detected. That is why I am willing to see how the training for this is developing as the technology improves. I am not available for the call, but I will be eager to see what's new in LV.

No doubt. For those handful of projects, I did it because of no additional equipment, extremely simply report and lots of lots of food to stock up on for the week.

The catch was the MSC had no training or guidance on video techniques on doing it with my phone. There are apps out there tic stabilize the video where no matter how you orient the phone, the video with normalize itself. Pretty innovative application, if you ask me.

The conference call is nationwide. I have no reason to think that it originates in LV. It is free.

I got the email too. Since we call in and it is free, no reason not to do it and see what it is about.

I just looked over my master calendar. I run a business plus do MS part time. I'll be listening to tomorrow night.

Yes, even if you missed the original call, you can listen to the replay for free. IMSC does a lot of conference call free training, so it is well worth your while to keep up with these offerings. They also have some low fee online/conference call training or info sessions throughout the year. As I recall they have their IC tax expert do an online or call session at least once per year.

Has anyone else tried calling the number to hear the playback? I tried it twice and got dead silence after the call was connected. Never got a prompt for he access code or anything else. Thanks.

Try emailing info@imsc.com to ask what to do to hear the playback.
