I received this email regarding a shop. Note names and places have been modified because I wanted to.

Hi CUREMS,
I wanted to reach out to you because I came across your profile and you have done some great work for us in the past. Let me say that we really appreciate your help and efforts!
If your schedule allows it we are in need of your services once again to help us out with a shop for “A Good Place ” at The Mall, New Jersey 07470. They are a very important client for us.
There will be a reimbursement of $15 and it would mean a great deal to us and should only take around 30 min of your time.

I replied with this email:

Hi Scheduler (changed for protection), I am happy that when you looked at my profile, you were impressed enough with my work to ask me to do a shop for you. I would be more than happy to do the shop listed in New Jersey. As I live in Dallas Texas, please increase the fee by approximately $$549 which should cover my airfare, hotel and food. Rest assured that with this advance fee, I will get the shop completed.

I received this reply email:

Hi CureMS,

Hmmm I am not sure, how that email got sent out there with that location. I did however send you another email for a different location. Its located at down the street! Thank you for the sense of humor it’s been a long day! If you are interested in that location let me know.

Made me smile too on a Friday afternoon after a long week!

I wonder if it is "down the street" from Dallas,Texas or actually "down the residential street" of you.

Ok, I like that scheduler. I think some might have taken your reply as sarcasm (well since some people might have) and been defensive. The scheduler's response is great.

Oh I certainly did not mean it as sarcasm, that's not me. If they had taken it as such and responded to me with a different type of message, I simply would have apologized and told them that was not my intent. I would have said that it has been a long week for both of us and THEN to make them feel better, I would have taken the other shop which is down the street (from me), simply to help make their day better

If it was down the street from Dallas, that would have decreased the advance fee I needed.
As it turns out, it was down the street "from me".
