I've done quite a few 5G shops, and the bonuses ARE great. I'm just not disciplined enough to not eat the food (or at least give it to someone). I did far too many in a short time period and even when I switched to a BLT, the fries still killed me. Think I gained 5 pounds in that week, started feeling really crappy, so I've stopped accepting them for a while.

I don't worry about calories when I am taking a 5 Guys shop. Bring on the mayo and bacon, baby. I don't like their fries that much and usually only eat a few (the crispiest ones). I only do these shops maybe 6 times a year and it's always about the bonus (won't do one for less than a $20 shop fee) so...

If the scenario requires you to purchase a milkshake, do you have to order it at the same time as you order the entree, fries and drink or can you order the milkshake at a later time during your shop?
For those of us lucky enough to live in the area, In-N-Out offers about the same meal, always fresh, much better fries, and for about half the price. And just as clean.@7star wrote:
I totally agree they are expensive. But their menu is somewhat healthier than their competitors. Burgers are never frozen, buns have basically 5 ingredients and fries cooked in peanut oil. Sure McDonalds is cheaper, especially the value menu where a cheeseburger is sometimes a buck or buck fortynine but they have so many more chemicals and additives. Plus many 5guys offer the free peanuts. Also 5guys offers many more topings for free for the price of a little burger. 5guys also gives much more fries than mickey d's. I'm not advocating 5guys but merely mentioning some differences.
I have noticed the portion of little fries to be smaller for delivery orders. I'm not a big fan of their fries, but even so it is disappointing to get a half cup of fries and just a few more in the bag. They have nerve charging $3+ for that.@Tarantado wrote:
That's what makes Five Guys fries a great value. An order of little fries (or large fries when I get that AMEX $5 of $20 coupon) goes a long ways to share with the entire family as leftovers.
Great idea, and you won't have to add salt, because lord knows the fries have enough!@msimon-2000 wrote:
The next morning, I dice up the remaining fries and raid the fridge for any leftovers like; onions, peppers, mushrooms, etc. I mix them all up in a skillet, cook them up and finish the dish with a couple over easy eggs on top. A perfect breakfast skillet and a good use for the leftover fries....

Yeah, I always order and pay for the milkshake with my meal and then tell them I want it on my way out for dessert. Never been an issue.
