Wing Shops???

Has anyone seen the wing shops recently? I'm referring to the chain where all of the employees wear jerseys with '82, the year the chain was founded. One of the big companies used to offer these shops on a regular interval, about every 4 weeks. Sometimes the shops are carryout ($17 reimbursement), sometimes they are dine in lunch ($18), and sometimes they are dine in dinner ($25). I got emails about deadline shops a few weeks ago but haven't seen any listings since then. The last round of shops appears to have started about 7 weeks ago.

They are around. I did one last week and saw another available in the area I was traveling this week.
Thanks, nhgirl. I extended my radius to 500 miles and can now actually see some on the board. Either they all got snatched up in my area this month as soon as they got posted and I missed out or I have hit some type of limit on the local shops, several of which I have done once every month or two for the last two years.
I haven't seen them yet this month either and was wondering too. Glad they are still around. Not sure what is going on in my area though.

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
Me to, I need to get my wings again. One take out lunch on the half price days was great for dinner and another lunch and still under the limit!
Unfortunately the client recently cancelled the half price day unless you are a boneless wing fan. Hoping these shops pop up in my area next week. Can't afford to buy the wings on my own dime anymore!

Hm. Yer shopping fer a wing? :-)
I'll take a boneless wing, half price on someone else's dime keeps my pocketbook happy!

Sorry, I'm not following you. Just boneless is on sale on Thursday. Boned were half-price on Tuesday, IIRC? So are you saying only Thursday is allowed? I prefer boneless myself, so that's fine with me.

I could not believe my first wing shop, when I paid full price. What looked like a medium Chicken McNuggets, a cup of mac and cheese, and a soda, $18. So glad I got reimbursed for it. Not even worth half the price.

The half priced traditional wing deal on Tuesday is over. It has been replaced with buy one get one free boneless wings. The MSC of course has no day restrictions so there is no reason to go on Tuesdays for the traditional wings anymore. I used to get wings every Tuesday whether I had a shop or not, but I haven't been back since they stopped the promotion and I probably won't be unless it is a shop.

OIC, thanks for explaining. I would think boneless are preferable because ... um ... no bones to deal with, all meat. Why don't you like boneless, if I may ask?
I like the bones and I don't like the breading. Boneless wings are just adult chicken nuggets.
I'm not a fan of boneless wings either. Too much breading, not enough meat. And not as fun to gnaw on!
A dinner location near where I work was cancelled. The lunch and dinner locations near where I live are still around, but they go fast. I see the shops maybe once every quarter or every two months.

Is it still MF or someone else???
I believe the MF wing shops were for a different client than the ones I was referring to.
I think something is up this month because they always had them bonused in my area because they were rarely picked up so I could take my pick and nothing this month so maybe they aren’t in my area for this month or something just hoping they come back...

They cancelled the half price wing Tuesdays in my area, originally replaced it with BOGO of any sized order of regular wings, and now do only do BOGO on snack size or small sized wings. At some locations, the servers have said that you basically get a small order of wings for the price of snack sized or large order of wings for the price of a small order.

BOGO small size comes out to about 71 cents per wing, marginally more than the 70 cent wings deal they had in my area before the half price deal began and the current deal includes carrot/celery sticks and ranch/bleu cheese dip while the 70 cent wings deal charged extra for veggies and dip.

I prefer regular wings and usually would try to schedule shops for Tuesdays as my first option but would try to schedule for Boneless Thursdays if Tuesday wasn't an option (due to the shop's availability or my own schedule). My biggest issue with the boneless wings is the inconsistency with the way they are sauced. Sometimes they are drenched in sauce, making them almost inedible, and other times they are almost dry. I enjoy almost any flavor of sauce on the regular wings but only like a few of the flavors on boneless wings.
By now it seems they are officially taking this month off. The next round should be posted in 2 weeks so if it happens we should see it then.
The wing shops are around but apparently the client is only shopping certain locations for the next few months.
I am feeling the pain with you!! sad smiley

If I go for dinner I like going on Thursday so I can use the wings to get close to the limit - I am OK with going about 50-cents over after tip. My father loooooooooooooooves the Shrimp sandwich so on a Thursday I can get his sandwich, get an appetizer (Happy Hour prices are lower), Wings and get right around the limit. I am OK going on Tuesday for Lunch. I get the BOGO wings and bring the 2nd order home for another family member to eat. Get water and I am right at the limit. Be creative and it is OK to stay under. I have not seen them yet but I sense they will be coming down the line
