Online mystery shops

So I know a company/individual that pays to do online reviews - like mystery shopping in that you get reimbursed for your purchase and then post a short but honest review.
Not sure the best place that I can let people know about it. You can email me if you want to do them at stephanielarson44@Hotmail.com - I was told they have a lot to do.

Is this for purchases off Amazon? If so, be aware that this is now against their policies and will put your Amazon account at risk... At least for posting reviews.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!

This "member" has been here two years and two out of three posts were trying to recruit folks for providing online reviews. Wouldn't this now qualify as spam?

Personally, I ignore reviews generated by anyone who received the product in return. I find it unethical.

Don't you think that there's a value in posting an honest opinion? What's the difference in the free burger you just got for mystery shopping?

I've done mystery shopping for over ten years and other than Coyle and Bestmark, most aren't even worth your time. At least this way we get things we want/need...

What is the purpose of mystery shopping? To give your unbiased experience - same as reviews online - IF you are honest.

It just occurred to me - are you familiar with NetGalley? That's exactly what they do (and I'm a member). They provide free books in exchange for an honest review - and Amazon promotes them. They are one of the biggest sources out there for reviews.

I don't get "free burgers" from mystery shopping. It is my business and how I pay my bills, I get paid for providing the client with a detailed account of my experience, not my opinion.

It is interesting you think Coyle and Bestmark are the only two out of two hundred MSCs worth your time. I have never bothered to register with Coyle and not performed a shop with Bestmark in years. Yet somehow my business thrives with all those other worthless companies.

Authors and publishers send pre-release copies of their books to reviewers and notable writers in their field with the hopes of gaining positive reviews and endorsements. You don't have to buy anything, and often they are sent to you without you requesting them. NetGalley is a digital version of that process.

The title of this thread is online mystery shops, but the subject matter has nothing to do with mystery shopping. Just call it what it is, paid reviews, and post it in General Chat.

The subject usually does change on the postings sometimes it's like you're in a bar and several people are talking at once about different things. At one time I could follow several different discussions at once and keep up with them. but now it takes too much brain sweat. So I do not bother.

Major difference is these biased reviews online are always positive and deceive the public.

At least with the work we do in mystery shopping, we can be a bit more objective.

This is like those annoying people who always post crap like

I'm always immediately wary, skeptic, alert, etc. when it comes to offers that want me to private message you or email you. No, I will not be giving you my private email address, phone number, and home address so I can get spam. -_-

One way to let people know about it is to inform the "company/individual" about this forum. There is a board in the forum that is devoted to job postings. The "company/individual" can post the job information on that board. Shoppers can decide whether they want to participate or not, after reading what the "company/individual" has posted.
