RESOLVED: Shop Rejected?

I did a gas station/convenience store shop for ACL. The guidelines required that I have a certain sandwich made fresh, and specifically stated that I could not get the sandwich from the Grab and Go section, which was fully stocked.

I asked dude if he could make a fresh sandwich for me. He said he just made them and they were in the Grab and Go section. I ordered something else.

I did the shop and noted what happened in the "Did you miss any guidelines" section. I hope it's accepted. I've had them reject a shop report before for a different reason.

I used to do a shop like this but not for ACL. I had somebody tell me that and all you need to say is that you are allergic to something he put on the sandwich and you must have a freshly made one without that ingredient. (thinking quickly what that ingredient might be!) smiling smiley
It stinks to have a shop rejected. In this instance, as stated above, I would ask for some sort of variation or customization on the sandwich so that he would still need to make it fresh. If he flat out refused, there's only so much you can do. Sometimes you have to push a little for the employee to do what you need.

I should have come here first. I could have said I had an allergy to foil and he would have to make it fresh. I'll know for next time.

I hope this shop is accepted. Like you said, there is only so much I can do.

Expect to be rejected. If thete is a required item to be freshly made and they refuse to make a fresh one for you, then you need to take one from the case. On my recent visit I thanked the associate for pointing out the available ones, then asked for them to make mine fresh. The Order Terminal does not list the sliders, you have to place a verbal order if thats what was required.

Last month the associate, like your experience, insisted I select from the case. Based on my understanding of the guidelines, I took mine from the case. My comments explained what happened, perfect score and of course I was paid.

Months ago I forgot to buy a coffee, as required. Report was rejected.

By the way, had you ordered something as you did, plus picked the required item from the case, I believe you would have been fine. This would covered everything. With a coffee you shpuld have still been under reimbursement.

The editor contacted me for additional information on this and a separate issue. I hope it's a good sign.

isaiah, this shop doesn't have an ordering terminal.

Ok, the client I am familiar with has touch screens at most locations. If it is the one where we get up to $10 in gas and $10 in fresh food then we are discussing the same client.

ACL tends to really work to get their shops accepted. I have never had one rejected. And once I performed a shop off their lunch guidelines instead of dinner (did not order the required appetizer because I didn't realize I was reading the wrong thing!). They still were able to accept it. I was thankful and very shocked! So you just may be alright since you still asked about the sandwich. I'd think the client would want to know how typical guests were treated.

I hope you are accepted! I get sooooo nervious when I have done a high end dinner or something with a higher cost like a hotel or leisure activity with ACL. Oh the relief when I get that "thank you" emil from the editor! I get sooooo anxious sometimes! Let us know!

I have done a coupl of shops for them and they all have been approved without any additional information.
I agree. They want to know what happened and usually work with it. I have had a few times where I made a small mistake an its usually been accepted. Actually always with them. I know a lot of ppl don't like them but I think they have excellent customer service. I think ACL is an excellent company. Just wish my town had more shops !
Isaiah, it's the shop with the $10 fuel and $10 food reimbursement.

ShopSouthTexas, it turns out, I read the wrong part of the guidelines. I was supposed to buy the sandwich regardless of where I got it from.

I checked my history on their website, and my payment is pending. My shop was accepted!

They are very forgiving! So glad this worked out for you.

Eh, I'd state an ingredient, like mayo or mustard. He could reply, "All our meat I would use in your sandwich is wrapped in foil," or something like that.
I've never had a shop rejected with ACL... but so far I've only taken a pizza shop that they seem to have trouble filling.

This makes sense. For that scenario, the guidelines want us to ask once for a fresh one to report on how an associate responds.

Maybe you could update the subject line to add resolved?
