What's your routine for scheduling shops?

I am part time in this lovely world of MSing. I do most of the same shops each month, if I can snatch them. i'm signed up with a lot of MSCs, but I tend to check the same three or four unless I see something here that prompts me to look elsewhere. Usually they're gone by that time and so I stick to my same-old-same-old.

I am often awestruck by how many shops some of you do, and especially the fat bonuses, when I have to scramble to pick up base pay in my area.

I wonder how you manage the hunt, across so many companies. Many of us sign up with over 100. How many MSCs do you typically work with in a month? Do you have a list that you run down each morning? Do you note which days to check MSC1 and which days to check MSC2, etc?

Once you have done enough shops for a given MSC, with good result, they will start to contact you instead of you having to watch job boards like a hawk. However, that may not be true of the few MSCs that you are working for now. Good reason to try watching more job boards for a while to start hitting "critical mass" with a few companies that will start reaching out to you. 3 or 4 shops per month is not going to really build your shopper rep very fast.

ETA I only check job boards when I have been offered fewer shops than I want for the month, or a few that I check every month when they first post coveted shops like good hotels.

I basically shop for four or five companies. I always check all of my emails daily or more. Once and awhile I get a great bonus from a company that I only shop a few times a year. I am signed up for about 30 shops.
Even though I'm well on my way to being signed up with 200 companies, I hit the same 8 or so each month and just watch my email. I know who shops what for what fees and will often send out preemptive emails to get what I want. It doesn't always work, but I know that XYZ shops post for $12-$20 and I can usually get $25-$40 for them.

Between the waiting periods and how fast the shops go, I am lucky to get one shop per month for the MSCs I mostly deal with.
