Just wanted to see which free scanning app for my Android is the very best and the easiest utilize. Already Googled, but always appreciate everybody's valued feedback from this site. Thanks in advance.
I'm still confused... what type of scanning and for what purposes? You mean a QR scanner? I have Googles and it works fine. Otherwise, not a clue... 0_o

Just need to scan receipts, and in an emergency if my pc died, need to send in my one page trailer check form. Guessing that a scan would be of better quality than any emailed camera pic would be.
You have a 5-megapixel main camera. I believe taking a picture of the receipt with it should be sufficient for any MSC. I use a 5 MP phone and have never had an issue. I also have a scanner at home, but mostly just take pictures since I find it is quicker.

Some MSCs will require you to shrink the file size. Marketforce used to have a 1 MB limit on their old website.

Also, a scanning program would probably just allow you to save the scan as a .pdf instead of a .jpg, but most want a .jpg file uploaded.

It would use the camera to scan the receipt, so why use another program on your phone?
When you Google, it just brings up biased sites like this: "The 5 best scanning apps for your Android" etc. I always prefer to ask for impartial opinions from real end users...plus in my case I am a bit non tech savvy...and maybe some apps are better suited for ms than others which won't be found in basic Google searches...the website for Verites lists several apps, but again, which one is the easiest to use without asking actual ms end users??
Ah, it is all coming together now. Haha. I have Receipt Pal and Receipt Hog which both earn you teeny amounts of cash for your receipts in return of market data... I'm sure... but it keeps up with the receipts and I make $1 - $2 a week sometimes to cash for Xmas.

But I always take photos of my receipts, crop them, and then save them to my email/cloud/phone because if an App goes under your data goes POOF.

Office Lens and Genius Scans were a couple but I don't know if either of them are still out there. Just be sure to save digitally in other ways too because you want to make sure it doesn't disappear. I also hard copy print mine out with an ink jet. They seem to last well in a document protector.
