Not sure where to post..., MSPA vs IMSC conferences

Thanks everyone for your input, it’s always great to hear from experienced shoppers. I’m going to try to attend both conferences in 2018.
Hello all! I have a new PV-500 from Greyhawk that I have never used. Is there a certification I could earn from home? I have done one video shop where the company sent me a videocam and shirt for an apartment shop. And this went really well. Thank you, Night Owl at 11:11 pm
If you join IMSC you can then get the online course taught by one of the best video schedulers and instructors in the business, Kathy Hart. A shopper buddy of mine that I have lunch with 2-3 times a month has recently begun that course and has high praise for it.

So, if you join IMSC you can get Kathy Hart's course for free or you need to pay a fee still?

I think there is a fee for it, but I do not know. It is certainly designed to be less than in-person workshops. I will check.

On youtube, I think is where I saw it, her class is $75 but you only get 30 days use of it and I have to take last minute shops all the time to make any money in this business so I was wary of doing that, especially during this season of flakey, buttery, crispy shoppers!
Well, once you are video trained you will qualify for better paid shops. January might be a good time for you to do it.
However, if you are near Atlanta, you can get 3 days of IMSC conference, including a full day of video training for $79 plus any travel, lodging and food costs. Either way, IMSc seeks to lower the cost of entry into video for shoppers, including sponsoring great deals on equipment at conferences. Plus Dan at Grayhawk has great deals during December.

$79 is an Amazing deal! Atlanta is a 22 hour drive for me.

I do mentor shoppers on line. Much of what I teach in an IMSC session aimed at taking baby steps to route shopping, grew out of my posts here on the subject. The same goes for my sessions regarding managing aliases and follow-up emails and phone numbers.
I also do workshops (one or more) at every IMSC conference that I attend. I will be the all day moderator for the full day of video training at the Atlanta conference. and expect to present a short segment on building scenarios for longer shop interactions as part of that day.

I'm looking forward to Atlanta. So far with the information Walesmaven has provided and the help Pam Olmstead has given me...it's a winning adventure.
Everything is paid besides food, ground transportation and hotel. I can take the stuff I've paid for off of this year's taxes. I have a great roommate and I get to see a good friend I've not seen in 20 years. Still haven't decided on whether I want a rental car.
I want to visit some fabric stores that receive national kudo's. Sadly, they aren't on the public transportation system (MARTA)
I'm also signing up for the meet and greet on the 3rd after the beginning of the year.
