WTH Ipsos? Changing dates on already assigned jobs

Applied for some Ipsos shops for this week. Assigned. So I built a route around them, mostly little shops as fill-ins. Now, AFTER being assigned them, I get a note that due to client spacing, the dates have been changed. Except I can't very well go to the other half dozen piddly shops and ask them to change their dates to accommodate -- especially when I can't trust that the new Ipsos dates won't be changed.

Get your act together, Ipsos. When we apply for a particular date and it's ASSIGNED, you need to hold up your end. This blows. I'm stuck driving to Timbuktu for shops I would otherwise never have done without a bonus.

Anyone else burned by date changes ostensibly due to "client spacing"?

I complained a couple of months ago. Now when I apply for shops it goes into waiting. Used to be I asked and I got now it's like what the heck.

I am not singling out Ipsos, but I really dislike it when MSC's put applications in limbo. Days might go by without confirmation one way or the other. Mystery shopping is how I earn substantial income, so I cannot wait around until someone decides to make a decision. Many times, I will apply for a job on one side of town for a certain date but don't hear back within a day. I think to myself, "Gotta move on." I go ahead and schedule different job(s) on the same date on another side of town. Low and behold, MSC #1 finally decides to approve the job, Too late! Then I must try to reschedule or cancel all because of the long delay in assignment. That makes me look bad, when it was a scheduler's issue. Auto-scheduling is the best solution!

I haven't been burned, but once I tried to sign up for shops that were "desperately" needed, and no matter what date I picked, they wouldn't accept it because it was within 2 days of an already scheduled shop, i.e. "client spacing." I think they should update their software to hide the no-longer-available-neighbor-dates, because it was a waste of my time and thoroughly annoying,

I rarely work for them and only after getting emails offering a bonus. If I had one day available there is no way I would accept them changing dates and just expecting me to accommodate them. It amazes me they would do that without getting a lot of push back from their ICs.

The last few months I have done more for Ipsos than in the last few years. That said you can always apply with available dates noted and then send the scheduler (3rd party scheduling) a email asking for the jobs. If you are reliable they will most likely give them to you. You can also email and ask for bonuses straight up before they are even bonused. As for the OP yes that is BS and Ipsos should be ashamed.You should have told them I can go on the new dates but need a bonus of whatever now if not cancel them.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

MSCs will play the contract card, meaning we apply, commit to a date and we are contractually obligated to complete the assignment. Shoppers need to remember it works both ways. If the MSC makes a change we are no longer obligated to the original terms because it is a new contract. As such, it is open to negotiation again.
