Are people really doing the Scope A Inspections for $15?

I mean, I regularly bonus $ for fast food shops for more than $15.00. For the life of me I can't imagine anyone would do a Scope A Inspection for $15.00. I can take a few pictures of a car for WeGoLook for $20.00. Why would anyone go to a commercial building, take all of those pictures, usually putting themselves at jeopardy, and do that incredibly long report as though they are a realtor or an "actual" inspector for $15.00? Gosh, I really want to do them but I wouldn't sell myself on Central Ave for that money.

Also, who are they getting for $15 for what is hours of work?

Spicy1...I do BV for you know who for 17 or 21.00, they get their money's worth. I do them so I avoid our freeway, it's comfort for me to work 3 miles from home, but yes a total ripoff, pay from this company is way too low. I'm stuck! I asked for 4.00 pad and no word. The only company I'll do this for as pay is twice a month, otherwise it's 15.00 to step out the door.

Live consciously....

I thought Scope A was take a photo from the sidewalk, because you're not allowed to go on the property. Maybe I've got that confused with Scope E. In any regard, it depends on how far away the property is and what needs to be done for the inspection whether the fee is worth the time. The ones where you measure, draw a sketch in addition to the photos pay more. For instance, I haven't found any Looks that are worth the fee to me because of the drive to get to the location. But, I would do a $15 audit if it was in a part of town I was already going to be in.
I have done them in the past but no longer. I, too, think the report is long and that along with the number of pictures is too much, IMO, for $15.
I'm of the opposite mind. I enjoy doing these. I don't have to talk to anyone and the report is super simple and done within 15 minutes. I'm on scene less than 5 minutes usually. 20 minutes for $15 works for me.

So you have the ones that you drive to and from the COMMERCIAL building, take all the photos, including ones from in or across the street, the sides, the corners, the other buildings on the property including the dumpster, answer about the viability of the neighborhood, the building condition including materials, slab, whether it has electric, air conditioning, slope and materials of the roof, any recent renovations, how it relates to other buildings in the area, upload and name more than 10 pictures into the correct spots, the relative distances to major roads etc. etc. etc. etc. and you do this report in 15 minutes?
I did one for $30 about a half our drive from my house, and I didn't think that was enough. Lets just say they got what they paid for.
I wanted to do them originally. But I decided against it. They want a background check and said some require extensive standing and walking. I can handle the gas station audit shops, even on a bad knee day but not sure I want to end up shooting pics for an hour with my phone.
Yes Spicy....15 minutes tops. A dumpster doesn't qualify as a building. I have done so many that I'm really quick with the pictures. All pictures are taken from the front of the property while standing on the sidewalk.

What I don't do is the $17 inspection that requires you meet with the client. That is too much work for the additional $2.

If you look at the guidelines, it says to take pictures of additional structures and that includes dumpsters. No way 15 minutes unless there are different reports in your area! No Way!
I suppose that is a possibility - different reports in different areas. I do take about 10 pictures though. Again, I would dispute that a trash can is considered a structure. Typically the dumpster would be in the back of a commercial building and it would not be view-able from the sidewalk. There are times when I've captured a dumpster in my parking lot picture. I've never, ever been questioned as to why I didn't count the dumpster as a building.

Structure. That's what they call it. Take pictures of any other structures on the property, including dumpsters.
